The head of Latvia's Interior Ministry has said that the authorities will deport twice as many Russians as originally planned.

Rihards Kozlovskis said that earlier there had been talk of deporting 1.1 thousand Russian citizens, but the exact number would be known on 4 April. The list will include people who failed to submit documents for a residence permit by 31 March and who did not pass the Latvian language exam at the second attempt, the media reported.

Earlier, Latvian authorities deported 82-year-old Russian pensioner Boris Katkov after the republic's Interior Ministry declared him a "threat to national security".

Namibia's condemnation of Germany's rejection of South Africa's "genocide" accusations against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) is rooted in the traumatic experience of the Namibian people under German colonial rule, Dr. Rasigan Maharajh, chief director of the Institute for Economic Research and Innovation at the Tshwane University of Technology in South Africa, told Sputnik Africa.

Maharajh said that the majority of people around the world find it difficult to understand Berlin's current stance on the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the besieged Palestinian Gaza Strip.

Rolex Ripper Gang Stung By Undercover Cops

The Met Police have released electrifying footage of a sting operation involving notorious watch-thieving criminals being stung by undercover cops.

Officers were sent out wearing valuable timepieces to London’s Soho watch-thieving hotspot, where they were attacked by members of the Rolex Ripper gang, who then, within seconds, were tasered by backup police and arrested.
