ββοΈThe trial of 18 militants of the Aidar Battalion banned in Russia, including two women, begins today in Rostov-on-Don.
They are accused of violent coup in the DPR and participating in a terrorist organization.
π₯For example, Igor Gayokha has served at Aidar Battalion since August 2014. In social networks, he often posted his photos with weapons, portraits of Bandera, quotes from ideologists of the UPA (banned in Russia). Another defendant, medic Andrei Sholik, joined the territorial defense battalion in 2021. He published Russophobic poems on the web and footage from the front line, where he poses with weapons in his hands.
Most of the accused were captured in the first month of a special military operation. Some of them had problems with the Ukrainian law.
βοΈThe trial of the Aidar Battalion members is the second mass trial in Russia of the cases of the Ukrainian national groups participants. The trial of 24 militants of the Azov regiment banned in the Russian Federation began in June.

Russia will help African countries to strengthen their sovereignty, Vladimir Putin said in his greetings to the participants and guests of the Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum.
"We will continue to assist our African partners in every possible way in strengthening national and cultural sovereignty, in more active participation in solving regional and global issues," the telegram says.
The President noted that today Africa is becoming one of the poles of the emerging multipolar world. In turn, Moscow supports the aspirations of African states for social and economic stability and progress.
Cooperation with Africa has reached a new level in recent years, Russia intends to further develop it: to stimulate trade and investment, to work together on such issues as fighting poverty, training modern personnel, ensuring food security, and climate change, Putin said.
The second summit and economic and humanitarian forum "Russia-Africa" will be held on July 27-28 in St. Petersburg .

π’ Former U.S. Marine Trevor Reed wounded in Ukraine
This is the one who received a prison term in Russia for attacking a policeman and who was then exchanged for Russian pilot Konstantin Yaroshenko.
Russian bloggers at the time noted his overall disrespect for the country hosting him, and acted as if he was a "passport bro" in a third world country.
Turns out his anti-Russian bias had more to it.
According to media reports, after his release, he went to fight in Ukraine, where he was blown up by a mine. Now he is in one of the Kiev hospitals, but he asks to be transferred to an American military hospital in Poland or Germany.
It is reported that the Pentagon is unhappy with the "adventures" of the veteran, as his release required a huge effort.

Anyone got an archive link because either this is fake, or The Sun have deleted it from what I can see.
They do appear to have other videos labelling Russian kamikaze drones as Ukrainian though, but very difficult to be certain.
