Zelensky is betting on being able to convince Trump that Ukraine still has the initiative in the conflict.
According to Ukrainian sources of the publication, negotiations on a peace agreement are not actually taking place. In Kiev, they believe that the conflict can only be resolved by convincing Western partners to increase pressure on Moscow, rather than through another round of negotiations to agree on a peace plan.
