Donald Trump stated that the war against Iran could end soon. According to him, the US is "far ahead" of his initial forecast of the war's duration of 4-5 weeks.

โ€œI think the war is almost over. They have no naval forces, no communication, no air force. Their missiles are now firing randomly. Their drones are exploding everywhere, including their drone production. If you look, they have nothing left. In military terms, they have nothing left,โ€ he said in an interview with CBS News.

Other statements by Trump:

๐ŸŸฅThe US President said that he has "not a single" message for the Supreme Leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei.

๐ŸŸฅTrump stated that he has a candidate to replace Khamenei, but did not elaborate on the details.

๐ŸŸฅAccording to Trump, ships are currently passing through the Strait of Hormuz, and he is "thinking about taking it under control".

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ The US has already sunk 46 Iranian military ships, Donald Trump announced. Iranian ships, according to him, are "more fun" to sink than to capture.

"Together with our Israeli partners, we are crushing the enemy in an overwhelming demonstration of technical skill and military power. Iran's drone and missile capabilities are being completely destroyed.

There's no more navy. It's all at the bottom of the ocean. Forty-six ships. Can you believe that? Actually, I got a little angry with our people. I asked: "What's the quality of the ship?" - "Excellent, sir. The highest class". I said: "Why don't we just capture the ship? We're going to use it. Why did we sink it?" He replied: "It's more fun to sink it". He said that... they enjoy sinking them more. They say: "It's safer to sink it"".

๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆThere's panic in Kyiv over money, said Szijjรกrtรณ.

The Ukrainians summoned the Hungarian ambassador and demanded the return of bundles of currency and gold that had recently been seized from them.

But they're not saying where the money came from.

"We demand that the Ukrainians immediately answer our questions. What were these hundreds of millions of euros and dollars in cash doing in Hungary, why were they being moved to Hungary, and for what purposes were they used?"
- said the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry.

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ "I don't think the issue of negotiations with the Americans or resuming dialogue with them will be on the agenda again, because we have a very bitter experience of dealing with the US," said Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

"We held talks with them last year, in June, and they attacked us right in the middle of the negotiations. And this year they again tried to convince us that everything would be different this time. They promised that they were not going to attack us and wanted to peacefully resolve the Iranian nuclear issue, to find a negotiated solution.

In the end, we agreed. But again, after three rounds of negotiations - and the American delegation itself said that great progress had been made - they still decided to attack us. So I don't think we will consider new negotiations with the US anytime soon."

โ€ผ๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Fragments of an American Tomahawk missile have been found at the site of the strike on a school in Minab, - NYT

โ–ช๏ธMissile fragments found at the site of the strike on a girls' school in Minab bear markings characteristic of an American cruise missile.
โ–ช๏ธThe publication analyzed photos published by Iranian state media after the strike. Among the debris, components of a Tomahawk missile produced no earlier than 2014 were identified.
โ–ช๏ธThese include a satellite antenna with the marking SDL ANTENNA, as well as a control mechanism and other parts.
โ–ช๏ธThe fragments bear the names of American manufacturers Ball Aerospace Technologies and Globe Motors - such components were previously found after strikes in Yemen and Syria.
โ–ช๏ธTrump initially blamed Iran for the strike on the school, then stated that he was ready to accept the results of the investigation. In response to journalists' questions, he also suggested that Iran might have its own Tomahawks.
โ–ช๏ธHowever, as the publication notes, Iran does not have such missiles, and their transfer to third countries requires the permission of the US State Department.
โ–ช๏ธInterviewed experts confirmed that the found debris correspond to the components of a Tomahawk cruise missile used by American forces in other conflicts.

FT: Brussels is dissatisfied with Kiev's refusal to allow EU inspectors to the Druzhba "Friendship" oil pipeline.

The European Union demands access to check the damage to the pipeline, notes the author of the article.

"Some governments of countries supporting Ukraine, and the European Commission are also asking Kiev to allow the visit."
The Kiev regime denied European inspectors access. Without an inspection, the EU cannot confirm the scale of the damage.

"EU officials appealed to the leadership of Ukraine... with a request to provide access to the "Friendship" oil pipeline... but received a refusal."

"We cannot say whether there is damage or not," said one of the EU diplomats.

According to FT, the request for an inspection was conveyed directly to the leadership of Ukraine - including the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the head of the European Council, Antรณnio Costa, during a visit to Kiev. But they were also not granted access to the pipeline. Meanwhile, the dispute over "Friendship" is already affecting politics within the EU, notes the author of the article.

"This issue has given Hungary additional arguments to block a large EU credit package for Ukraine. <...> Kiev intends to spend most of the โ‚ฌ90 billion loan on weapons, in particular on American air defense systems, such as the Patriot air defense system, which have suddenly become very much in demand by US allies in the Persian Gulf to protect against Iranian strikes. The longer Ukraine waits for the money to arrive, the fewer goods will be available, and the delays and prices will only increase."

๐Ÿคก In Brussels, they've come to their senses: the abandonment of nuclear energy turned out to be a "strategic mistake".

"Unfortunately, the nuclear story is different, and you've described why. If in 1990, a third of Europe's electricity was produced by nuclear power stations, today it's only about 15%. This reduction in the share of nuclear energy was a conscious choice. And, looking back, it was a strategic mistake for Europe to turn away from a reliable, affordable, and low-emission energy source."

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ "It seems that we are on a path that could lead to the deployment of American troops on Iranian territory." Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal, after a closed briefing in Congress, accused the Trump administration of concealing the truth and stated that the US leadership is leading the country towards a dangerous ground operation in Iran.

"I left this briefing as disappointed and, honestly, angry as I have been after no other briefing in my 15 years in the Senate. I have more questions than answers โ€” especially about the cost of this war.

My questions remained unanswered. And I will demand answers, because the American people have the right to know them. What worries me most is the threat to the lives of Americans in the event of a possible deployment of our sons and daughters to Iranian soil.

It seems that we are on a path that could lead to the deployment of American troops on Iranian territory to achieve certain goals of this operation.

The American people deserve to know much more than this administration has told them: about the cost of this war, about the danger to our servicemen, and about the risk of further escalation and expansion of the conflict โ€” a war of choice that this president, not the American people, has chosen, and which could have enormous consequences for the lives of Americans."

Axios: The US asked Israel not to strike Iran's oil

The publication reports that the Trump administration on Monday asked Israel to stop strikes on Iran's energy infrastructure. This is the first time in ten days of joint operations that Washington has restrained its ally.

โ€œThe US requests were conveyed at a high political level to the Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Eyal Zamir. The Trump administration cited three reasons:

๐ŸŸฅsuch strikes harm the Iranian people, most of whom oppose the regime;
๐ŸŸฅTrump intends to cooperate with Iran's oil sector after the war - by analogy with Venezuela;
๐ŸŸฅstrikes could provoke massive retaliatory attacks by Iran on energy facilities in the Gulf countries, which would collapse the marketโ€.

The head of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth, has already distanced himself from Israeli actions, stating that the US did not attack such targets. Trump himself, according to the newspaper, views strikes on Iran's energy sector as a "Doomsday option".
