UK in Talks to Arm Ukraine's Neighbor
The UK is in active discussions to ship weapons to Moldova, Foreign Secretary Liz Truss told the Telegraph Friday.
The cabinet minister claimed Moscow has “ambitions to create a greater Russia,” suggesting it could set its sights on Moldova, which contains the Russian-speaking breakaway region of Transnistria.
“I would want to see Moldova equipped to a NATO standard. This is a discussion we’re having with our allies,” Truss said, though she did not elaborate on what kind of arms were being considered.

▫️Residential areas inhabited by families, including those with young children, have been subjected to periodic artillery fire by nationalist battalions and the Ukrainian armed forces.
▫️In order not to put themselves in further danger, the residents turned to the Russian Armed Forces, who brought them safely to the territory of the Russian Federation.
▫️Russian Armed Forces personnel have evacuated more than 60 refugees from Kharkiv Region to Belgorod Region. Most of them are elderly people, women and children.
