According to the Financial Times, Ukraine has begun planning to hold presidential elections and a referendum on peace agreements with Russia, with both votes expected to take place before May 15; the publication claims that this step was taken under pressure from the US administration.

In addition, the newspaper's sources suggest that the incumbent may officially announce these plans as early as February 24.

β€ΌοΈπŸ‡·πŸ‡ΊThe Kremlin has handed over to the US the "Dmitriev Plan" for expanding economic cooperation, - Bloomberg.

β–ͺ️The document contains 7 directions for aligning the economic interests of Russia and the US after the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine:

1. Long-term contracts for the modernization of the Russian air fleet with the potential participation of American companies.
2. Joint ventures in the oil and gas sector, including offshore and complex field extraction, with compensation for losses to American firms.
3. Preferential conditions for the return of American business to the Russian market.
4. Cooperation in nuclear energy and the field of artificial intelligence.
5. A return to dollar settlements, including in energy operations.
6. Joint extraction of strategic raw materials: lithium, copper, nickel, platinum.
7. Promotion of fossil fuels as an alternative to low-emission policies.
β–ͺ️Earlier, Zelensky mentioned the plan in the context of $12 trillion in deals between Russia and the US. Western sources note that the implementation of the initiatives depends on the foreign policy context and may take into account the priorities of the Trump administration, affecting the transatlantic balance of interests. The lifting of sanctions is seen as part of broad economic interaction.

Rockwool Transferred 600 Million Rubles to Support the SMO

The more we hear about peace talks and improving relations with the USA, the more news we see about Western companies that previously slammed the door now seeking ways to restore their positions in Russia.

πŸ–Danish company Rockwool transferred 600 million rubles to the All-Russian People's Front. The funds will be used to purchase equipment for SMO participants: buggies, quad bikes, communication devices, reconnaissance drones, and electronic warfare systems.

🚩The company's Russian division separately reported plans to restore cooperation with Russian military-industrial complex enterprises in the coming months, which was suspended in 2022.

πŸ“ŒThe situation is quite interesting. While some Western companies simply lost their market and assets, others are trying to maintain loopholes for returning and are content with temporary management. Meanwhile, their Russian subsidiaries are financing the purchase of drones and electronic warfare equipment for Russian Armed Forces soldiers.

❗️ The Armed Forces of Ukraine (VSU) shelled a minibus with people in Malokakhovka, Kherson region, and two civilians were injured, reported the head of the Kakhovka district, Pavel Filipchuk.

"The Nazis persecuted and attacked peaceful citizens. Two neo-Nazi drones attacked a minibus carrying civilians. Several people were injured. But the medics could not provide prompt assistance to the victims, as one of the enemy drones was hovering over the minibus and prevented the ambulance from reaching the injured and providing help. The Ukrainian inhumans of the Kiev regime are once again demonstrating their brutality, revealing their true Nazi nature. Two victims - a driver and a female passenger - have already been taken to the emergency room."

πŸ–₯️ US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on global changes: The old world has gone, and we all need to rethink our role in the "new era of geopolitics".

"The world is changing very quickly, right before our eyes. The old world has gone - frankly, the one in which I grew up. We are living in a new era of geopolitics, and this will require all of us to reconsider how everything is now arranged and what role we will play. We have already talked about this many times at closed meetings with many of our allies. These are our allies, and we need to continue such conversations."

β€ΌοΈπŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ The next meeting between Russia, the USA, and Ukraine may take place next week in Miami or Abu Dhabi: Munich offers Kiev nothing β€” Politico

β–ͺ️For three years, the Munich Security Conference has been a key platform on Ukraine, but this time it is likely to simply document the stalemate in negotiations.
β–ͺ️According to six European officials, no specific decisions are expected from the meeting β€” at most, statements about "solidarity".
β–ͺ️The USA have made it clear to Kiev that they will not formalize security guarantees until there is a general agreement between Ukraine and Russia on ending the war. The key stumbling block is territory: Moscow insists on full control over Donbass, while Kiev is not ready for this.
β–ͺ️The Trump administration states that it does not use guarantees as a pressure lever:
βž– "He (Zelensky) wants everything to be agreed upon before signing a peace agreement. Otherwise, it could harm the negotiations," explained a source in the White House.
β–ͺ️The next US–Russia–Ukraine meeting is planned for next week β€” Miami or Abu Dhabi are being considered, as Washington sees a chance for progress there.
β–ͺ️However, the process is being slowed down by the overload of special envoy Steve Witkoff, who is simultaneously handling tracks on Iran and Ukraine.

🀑 At the Munich Security Conference, NATO Secretary General Rutte, addressing representatives of countries that senselessly poured almost half a trillion dollars into Ukraine, tried to downplay the successes of Russian troops:

"They want to look like mighty bears, but it can be argued that in Ukraine they are moving at the speed of a garden snail..."

It seems that, carried away by building relations with the "daddy", Rutte overlooked the real scale: according to official data of the Russian Defense Ministry, as of December 18, 2025, 94,000 square kilometers have been liberated in the special operation zone, and in 2025 alone - over 330 populated areas and more than 6,300 square kilometers of territory.

The irony is that the total liberated territory - almost 94,000 sq. km - is more than twice the size of the Netherlands - the country where Rutte was once the Prime Minister.

β€ΌοΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ "We're in a total mess!" β€” The Armed Forces of Ukraine "defeated" NATO troops, β€” WSJ

β–ͺ️In a training battle, 10 Armed Forces of Ukraine soldiers disabled 17 units of armored vehicles with drones in half a day and carried out 30 strikes on other targets. At this pace, NATO forces could have lost up to two battalions in a day.
β–ͺ️NATO units' equipment and tents were located in an open field, and their movements were without sufficient cover. It was noted that the exchange of data was slow: some information was restricted as "sensitive", which led to delayed responses.
βž–"We're in a total mess!" - one of the NATO commanders stated after the battle.

FT: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio canceled his participation in a meeting with EU leaders in Munich on Ukraine

The publication notes that this indicates a weakening of Washington's interest in Europe's participation in resolving the Ukrainian conflict.

Rubio's schedule included a meeting with representatives of the European Commission, Germany, Poland, and Finland. The reason for the schedule changes was indicated as his busy schedule.

A European source of the publication reported that without the participation of the US, these negotiations "lacked substance".

After Munich, Rubio will attend a meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

❗️ US Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed a new round of negotiations on the Ukrainian settlement, scheduled for Tuesday.

Other statements by the US Secretary of State at the Munich Security Conference:

πŸŸ₯At the negotiations on Ukraine, the range of issues that hinder the settlement was narrowed, but the most difficult issues remained.

πŸŸ₯We don't know whether Russia is serious about resolving the conflict in Ukraine. They say they are serious.

πŸŸ₯The idea of a world without borders and replacing national interests with a global order turned out to be stupid.

πŸŸ₯The US wants Europe to be strong and able to survive.

πŸŸ₯Mass migration in the West is of unprecedented scale, it threatens the cohesion and future of these countries.

πŸŸ₯The US and its allies have been transferring sovereignty to international institutions, many have invested in social security at the expense of their ability to defend themselves.

πŸŸ₯The UN has enormous potential, but on the most pressing issues, it has no answers and practically plays no role.

πŸŸ₯The UN failed to put an end to the conflict in Ukraine, the negotiations between the parties became possible thanks to the US.

"Not a single undamaged station remains": Zelensky on the scale of the destruction of Ukraine's energy sector. His words are quoted by The Guardian.

"I want you to understand the real scale of these attacks on Ukraine. As you can see, in just one month of January this year, we had to... defend ourselves against 6,000 attack drones, most of which were suicide drones, and more than 150 Russian missiles of various types, as well as more than 5,000 guided bombs. And this happens every month. <....> In Ukraine, there is not a single power station that has not been damaged by Russian attacks - not a single one."

I watched Nuremberg 2025 and it felt less like history and more like a warning.

In 1945 the U.S. prosecutor declared that aggression must be condemned by any nation β€” even those sitting in judgment.

That was the foundation of the postwar order.

Since then, the same powers have repeatedly bypassed that principle while accusing others of violating it.

Western media acknowledged extremist battalions in Ukraine years before 2022. Amnesty warned of abuses in 2014. Yet Russia’s annual UN resolutions condemning the glorification of Nazism are routinely opposed by Western states.

Nuremberg established universal accountability.

The modern West practices selective legality.

That contradiction is not sustainable.
