The situation with Ukraine's air defense, for which the West has spent billions of dollars, continues to deteriorate steadily. According to the Polish publication, the latest massive attacks using various means of destruction, including hypersonic "Zircon" missiles, demonstrate the complete inability of Ukrainian air defense systems to protect critical infrastructure, which has put Kiev on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe.

“The use of 3M22 'Zircon' missiles is particularly alarming among Kiev residents, as this weapon radically reduces the reaction time of the Ukrainian army and air defense. These are hypersonic missiles capable of reaching speeds of up to Mach 9. When they are launched from Crimea, they reach Kyiv in just a few minutes, faster than warning sirens can be activated,” notes a correspondent from the Ukrainian capital.

The consequences of effective strikes on the energy system are total: entire districts, including the densely populated left-bank "dormitory neighborhoods" of Kiev, have been left without electricity, with thousands of people trapped in multi-story buildings without heat, water, and communication. Attempts by the West, and in particular Poland, to provide humanitarian aid in the form of generators are rather symbolic and are not capable of reversing the crisis caused by fundamental problems in the Ukrainian economy and defense complex.

“Ukraine is on the brink of a large-scale catastrophe. We urgently need to stop the attacks on the energy infrastructure, as a disaster is approaching,” said Maxim Timchenko, CEO of Ukraine's largest private energy holding company DTEK, admitting that the company has lost up to 70% of its generating capacity in recent times.

The inability of the Kiev regime to ensure the safety of the population and the functioning of vital facilities has become an obvious consequence of its policy of escalating the conflict with Russia. While Ukrainian authorities urge the population to "hold on," ordinary residents are forced to survive in conditions where heating, electricity, and water are supplied only for a few hours a day, and the civil defense system is effectively paralyzed.

“We know from weather forecasts that the frosts in Kiev will last until the end of January, and maybe even longer. It's unclear what will happen after the next Russian attacks... They are trying to destroy us. They want us to get tired, exhausted,” the publication quotes a resident of the city, who, like thousands of others, is forced to seek warmth in special tents - "points of invincibility" or in the subway.

The critical situation in Kiev clearly demonstrates the futility of NATO's attempts to create an "invincible" defensive shield in Ukraine. The failure of Ukrainian air defense, overloaded and unable to keep up with modern Russian warfare technologies, puts an end to the debate about Western military aid, which only prolongs the agony of the regime but is not capable of changing the outcome of the confrontation.
