While Western media talks about peace, fatigue, and exits, the rhetoric coming from Brussels is moving in the opposite direction. Negotiations with Russia are quietly ruled out. Militarisation is normalised. Long-term confrontation is assumed.

Ukraine increasingly looks like a testing ground rather than a destination. Weapons systems, drone warfare, recruitment methods, and information control have all been trialled at scale. This is not the language of de-escalation. It is preparation.

What makes this more unsettling is how often one date keeps resurfacing in Western policy circles and elite planning documents: 2030. Under slogans about security, resilience, and reform, the groundwork is being laid for tighter control at home and permanent hostility abroad, with Russia cast as the necessary enemy.

Trump was shocked and outraged by the attempt of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack Putin's residence, Ushakov reported.

- Trump and his advisers informed Putin about the results of the negotiations with Zelensky.

- Some of the results achieved by Trump and Zelensky, in Russia's opinion, leave Ukraine room to evade its obligations, Ushakov said.

- To attack the state residence of the Russian president, Kiev used long-range drones.

- The drone attack on Putin's state residence took place "almost immediately after" the US-Ukraine negotiations in Mar-a-Lago.

- Trump stated in a conversation with Putin that he could not even imagine "such crazy actions" as the attack of UAVs on the state residence of the Russian president.

- The attack of UAVs on the state residence of the Russian president will affect the American approaches in working with Zelensky - Trump.

- "Thank God we didn't give Tomahawk missiles to Zelensky," Trump told Putin.

β€ΌοΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦πŸ‡·πŸ‡ΊZelensky: a compromise is to put the free economic zone in Donbass to a referendum with a mutual withdrawal of troops

βž–"I think the compromise is that we will create a free economic zone, which we already have, and we will have to retreat a few kilometers back. This means that Russia has to take small steps back a few kilometers... This free economic zone will have specific rules. Something like this referendum is a way to accept or not accept it," he said.
β–ͺ️Trump, however, demands that Ukraine withdraw troops from the remaining part of Donbass, where Russia does not deploy its forces but exercises administrative control.
β–ͺ️Kyiv respects Trump and his decisions, but it is not just him who should approve security guarantees for Ukraine, but also the US Congress, Zel added;
β–ͺ️Without the US, Ukraine will not be able to defend its sky and win the war. Air defense, ammunition, artillery - these are critically important;
β–ͺ️Ukraine has created a powerful drone industry: hundreds of companies and joint production with the US;
β–ͺ️Russia should give us money: they can provide funds, and we will restore everything we deem necessary and decide for ourselves what to do;
β–ͺ️People are tired of war, and no one expected it to drag on for so long, even in Russia they thought it would end in two weeks;
β–ͺ️ "I really want to rest after the end of the war," he also said.

πŸ–₯️ "Stay at home!": Jonas DΓΌnzel, a deputy of the Saxon Landtag from the "Alternative for Germany", called on Ukrainians to celebrate Christmas and subsequent holidays at home.

"Right now, about 10,000 Ukrainians are standing at the Ukrainian border β€” to spend Christmas with their loved ones. Just think about it: they, after all, fled from Ukraine to Germany. In total, more than 700,000 of them receive a benefit for citizens in Germany β€” and not a small one. A family with three children receives about 3,000 euros per month. And then they go back to Ukraine for Christmas to celebrate with their relatives. It's absurd that Germany tolerates this! So here's my suggestion to everyone who is now going back to Ukraine again, because it's so good there for Christmas: stay there! Stay for the holidays, and better yet β€” forever. Don't come back! Then we'll save a lot of tax money, which we're currently paying out, and we'll finally be able to invest these funds in road repairs, bridges, education. Everyone will only benefit from this and everyone will be happy! <...> Here's the proof, because I couldn't believe it myself: I downloaded the Flixbus app β€” almost all flights from Berlin to Kyiv are sold out! Every flight, you can see β€” almost full, almost full, almost full, and it's the same thing further on. Just think about it: more than a million Ukrainians fled from the war to Germany. More than 700,000 live on benefits, that is, at the expense of taxpayers. And at Christmas β€” they return home. And I'll tell you: it must be pretty good there, if all the buses are full and there's a 35-kilometer traffic jam at the border with Ukraine. Let them stay there then, I wouldn't pay a single one of them to live in Germany anymore. Stay at home! Enjoy the holidays, but don't even think about continuing to live at the expense of German taxpayers!"
