Russian ruble gains make it world’s best-performing currency of 2022.
Headlines like these can’t help but remind of Joe Biden’s March 26 statement:
“As a result of unprecedented sanctions, the ruble is reduced to rubble. It takes about 200 rubles to equal one dollar.”
As for the exchange rate, it’s currently at 63 rubles per dollar.

The wives of the participants of the national battalion "Azov"* in an interview with The Telegraph said that their husbands were "betrayed by Ukrainian traitors."
They claim that the Ukrainian Armed Forces allowed the Russian army to seize the cities around Mariupol, and the commander of the Ukrainian 36th Marine Brigade "had close contacts with the Russians."
Nationalists of "Azov"* have been blocked in Mariupol on the territory of the Azovstal plant for a long time. The Russian side has repeatedly offered them to lay down their arms and surrender.
*A neo-Nazi organization against which a criminal case has been initiated in Russia.

💢Austria Threatens Seizure of Russian Gas Depot - RT
Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer has called on Gazprom to refill its storage near Salzburg, in an interview with Kleine Zeitung.
Haidach is the second largest gas depot in Central Europe and belongs to Gazprom - it is reportedly sitting empty though.
"If this is not filled, we will consider measures so that it has to be filled. There are other ways to access the storage. That means use it or lose it." the chancellor warned.
The country’s energy minister recently confirmed that Austria receives Russian gas without any interruptions.
