US suffers losses in the Red Sea.

A US Navy F/A-18A Super Hornet fighter jet from the carrier squadron of the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman was shot down by its own cruiser USS Gettysburg (Ticonderoga class).

The fighter jet was on strike missions in Yemen when a surface-to-air missile struck the plane shortly after it took off from an aircraft carrier.

Both crew members managed to eject and were rescued, one of them was injured.
