The United States has lifted restrictions on Ukraine's use of long-range weapons in Russia, The Guardian reports, citing sources in the British government.

According to The Guardian, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken made this statement during his speech in Kyiv. He said that the US had been prepared to adapt its policy "from day one" as the situation in Ukraine changed. "We will continue to do so," he stressed. Blinken said that the decision would be made on Wednesday after talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The Guardian has been told by UK government sources that a decision has already been taken to allow Ukraine to use Storm Shadow cruise missiles against targets in Russia.
