US ban on Russian metals worse than ‘shot in the foot’
The new sanctions could be a signal to Kiev not to engage in talks, Ambassador Anatoly Antonov has suggested.
The US decision to impose restrictions on Russian metals is an unreasonable move that will only boomerang, Moscow’s envoy to Washington, Anatoly Antonov, has said, suggesting that the new sanctions could be meant to tell Ukraine to keep fighting.
On Friday, the US and UK introduced restrictions on trading Russian aluminum, copper, and nickel. Delivery of those commodities of Russian origin to the London Metal Exchange and Chicago Mercantile Exchange has now been prohibited. The US has also banned imports of those metals.
US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen argued that the move would “target the revenue Russia can earn to continue its brutal war against Ukraine.”

World cannot afford another war — UN secretary-general about Iran’s attack
Antonio Guterres urged "all parties to exercise maximum restraint to avoid any action that could lead to major military confrontations on multiple fronts in the Middle East".

I urge all parties to exercise maximum restraint to avoid any action that could lead to major military confrontations on multiple fronts in the Middle East," he said. "I have repeatedly stressed that neither the region nor the world can afford another war."

Russian envoy calls UN Security Council meeting on Iran strike parade of hypocrisy
"If Western missions were attacked, you would not hesitate to retaliate and prove your case in this room. Because for you, everything that concerns Western missions and Western citizens is sacred and must be protected," Vasily Nebenzya said.
"You know very well that an attack on a diplomatic mission is a casus belli under international law. And if Western missions were attacked, you would not hesitate to retaliate and prove your case in this room. Because for you, everything that concerns Western missions and Western citizens is sacred and must be protected," he said at a UN Security Council meeting convened in the wake of the Iranian attack on Israeli military installations.
"Today, the Security Council is witnessing such a parade of Western hypocrisy and double standards that it is even somewhat uncomfortable to watch," the diplomat said.

Russian forces find coordinates of DPR churches at former Ukrainian positions in Avdeyevka
It was possible to establish that the Ukrainian servicemen were tasked with hitting Orthodox sites in the region aide to the head of the Donetsk People's Republic Igor Kimakovsky said.
"Russian forces found several phones belonging to dead Ukrainian servicemen at the former artillery positions of the Ukrainian armed formations. Some phones were restored. It turned out that there were recorded coordinates of targets, which, as it turned out, included churches in Donetsk, Makeyevka, Yasinovataya and surrounding settlements. The coordinates were in a special program that is actively used by the Ukrainian military," Kimakovsky said.
In addition, according to the aide, it was possible to establish that the Ukrainian servicemen were tasked with hitting Orthodox sites in the region. "I will not reveal all the details, but this process has overseas curators, similar to the way it was in Syria."

Macron draws distinction between Israeli, Russian Olympic participation
The French leader stressed that Israel was responding to a terrorist attack.
"One cannot say that Israel is an aggressor," the French leader told BFMTV. "It was responding to a terrorist attack," he explained.
The Olympic Games will be held in Paris from July 26 - August 11. Restrictions have been established with regard to Russian and Belarusian athletes. They can only participate as neutrals with no displays of affiliation to their home countries. They will also not be allowed to participate in any team events. Russia’s authorities consider the decision on the matter by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) discriminatory and running counter to Olympic principles.

Today I invite you to read the first part of my post about methods of transferring money to Russia🇷🇺
❓ QUESTION
We are going to move with our family to Russia. There are three of us: me, my wife and our 15-year-old son. The question of moving money has come up. How can we transfer about $350,000 of our own savings to Russia?
📝 Answer:
➡️ ON METHODS OF MOVING MONEY INTO RUSSIA PART 2
2. Use of cryptocurrency
In the light of events in the world, this kind of services have become particularly popular.
A few words about the legal status of cryptocurrency in Russia:
To date, cryptocurrency in Russia is not yet legally regulated in any way, but more and more often the subject of regulation by the bank and the state are the finances in bank accounts, which were obtained as a result of cryptocurrency transactions.
This control is aimed at detecting money that has been obtained dishonestly or is planned to finance illegal activities in Russia (terrorism, drug trafficking, tax evasion, etc.).
Such control is regulated by the Federal Law "On Combating the Legalisation (Laundering) of Proceeds of Crime and the Financing of Terrorism" dated 07.08.2001 N 115-FZ
Therefore, if you plan to withdraw money after the exchange of cryptocurrency to a Russian bank account, be prepared that the bank will freeze your account and require you to provide documentation on the origin of the money.
For example, documents about the sale of real estate, personal belongings and so on will do.
In addition to these documents, you will need to attach screenshots of your account from the crypto exchange so that the bank can assess the nature of your transactions.
In addition to cryptocurrency, it is worth noting that there are payment systems like Zolotaya Corona.
This is a system of money transfers between countries.
In Russia today, it is this service that works most successfully with Western countries. But it should be noted that for 1 calendar month you can send no more than 600,000 Rubles per person.
And in Russia there are fewer and fewer banks to whose account you can credit a transfer from the Zolotaya Corona service.
Thus, we can say that transfers in cryptocurrency are allowed, but with a little caution. It is better to bring part of the money in cash as much as possible, and the rest of the money in cryptocurrency. This way you will reduce the risks of being without money at least for 1 day. There is not much pleasant here.

Senior Russian diplomat warns West against aggressive statements about Russia
Sergey Ryabkov pointed out that the West "is ignoring elementary and, as a matter of fact, absolutely obvious principles," such as the idea that a nuclear power "can never be defeated"
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov recalled that Russia has repeatedly stated, including at the top level, that "there can be no winners in a nuclear war, which must never be unleashed."
But, in his words, the West "is ignoring elementary and, as a matter of fact, absolutely obvious principles," such as the idea that a nuclear power "can never be defeated," and is indulging in "super-aggressive and super-irresponsible statements," a sign of the "utter degradation of the political establishment."
"It looks like these people have gone off the rails, with their brakes totally failed," he told TASS. "But those who keep on testing us must go to sleep and wake up knowing that they are dealing with a nuclear power."

🇮🇷🇮🇱So, as we said earlier, the military conflict between Israel and Iran has been unleashed.
Israel managed to shoot down most of the drones and missiles launched by Iran. However, Fattah medium-range hypersonic ballistic missiles successfully penetrated Israel's missile defence system.
The Fattah missile can reach a speed of Mach 13; Israeli anti-missile defence systems like MIM-104 Patriot, THAAD are not capable of shooting down targets moving at such speed despite these systems (i.e. Patriot 3 with the AN/TPY-2 X-band surveillance and targeting radar) being modified to defend against the Iranian medium-range ballistic missile threat. At least six hypersonic missiles hit their targets at Nevatim Air Base, but IDF's military censorship is masking the scale of damage.
Iran's missile capabilities are based on their partnership with North Korea. These countries also cooperate in nuclear technology. The DPRK has several dozen nuclear warheads and is capable of producing up to 6 warheads per year. The power of the last North Korean nuclear weapons test explosion in 2017 was up to 100 kilotons, according to Japanese seismic reports.
Fattah hypersonic missiles can carry a payload weighing up to 450 kgs (990 pounds), which is enough to deliver a nuclear warhead. It is highly likely that the North Korean partners have already supplied several warheads to their Iranian partners.
Thus, Iran may have nuclear warheads with a capacity of at least 100 kilotons and proper carriers which are capable of breaking Israel's missile defence. The explosion of a nuclear charge with a capacity of 100 kilotons can almost completely destroy a city like Tel Aviv causing hundreds of thousands of casualties.
Israel also has significant nuclear capabilities; according to the Federation of American Scientists, the IDF is armed with 90 nuclear warheads. No doubt that Israel will use these weapons in case of further conflict escalation.
