The FSB declassified the archive about the Nazi executions of Poles and the falsification of the "Katyn case"
The archive includes information, intelligence and special reports of the Smersh counterintelligence dated 1944-1945.
For example, a native of Poland, Eduard Potkansky, who served in a workers' battalion formed by the Germans from Poles in a camp at the Krasny Bor station in the Smolensk region, said that in the summer of 1943, the Germans decided to show the participants of the workers' battalion the graves of Polish officers in the Katyn forest. Potkansky recalled, "According to the Germans, there were up to 12 thousand Polish officers who were shot, and up to 3 thousand more people are in another place, and these graves have not yet been opened."

According to him, officers' belongings, Polish money, personal letters and documents of the executed officers were lying near the graves. "All these things, and especially personal documents and money, were in such a form in which they could not have been preserved in the ground since 1939 (when, according to Nazi statements, NKVD officers shot the Polish officers). The money, for example, was still brand new and did not seem to be in circulation," the Pole noted.
Roman Kovalsky, a prisoner of war who also served in a workers' battalion and visited the mass grave in the Katyn forest, added in his testimony that "it was clear from most of the corpses of those shot that these were very recent victims." "In the published lists of Polish officers shot in Katyn, many of our workers' battalion found among the names of their acquaintances killed, arrested even earlier by the Gestapo and sent to concentration camps in Germany," he stressed.
Both Poles claimed to know about at least seven cases of Nazi executions in Smolensk of those who spoke about the USSR's non-involvement in the murder of the Polish soldiers and officers.

"One of the leaders of the Poznan SD (Reichsfuhrer SS security service), Sturmbannfuhrer Gepner, had a conversation with the commission, in which he warned that their trip to Katyn had propaganda purposes and that upon their return from there they should declare that they had personally seen 12 thousand corpses of Polish officers. After returning, the SD obliged the members of the commission to address meetings of Polish workers with propaganda reports about the trip to Katyn. The summaries of the reports were pre-edited by the Board of Directors," the archival documents say.
Smetala recalled that in Katyn, the Germans showed the commission two Russian citizens, calling them "witnesses" to the murder of Polish officers. "As a former judicial officer, it was clear to me from the behavior of these "witnesses" that they were specially trained by the SD," Smektal said. He also noted that the corpses shown to the commission did not look as if they had been in the ground for several years: "The clothes did not rot, on the corpse of the Polish military commander, General of the Bronislaw brigade, Bogatyrevich has preserved the lower part of his face with a mustache and beard."

The truth always comes out eventually.
We can add it to a long list of crimes committed by Germany over the years. Blaming Stalin and the USSR was always convenient, both to Nazi Germany and their NATO successors. Just like we see today's politicians in the West blaming everything from rising prices to earthquakes on Russia, so it was the case then. Nothing changed.
It also shows us how the NATO alliance is built on American and British coercion, rather than any natural mutual interests. The whole of Europe has always been at each others' throats over the tiniest of disagreements. Yet today they aspire to lecture Russia and virtue signal about their superior morals.
Convincing their "allies" that Russia is the enemy was America's greatest trick - you've been had. You Poles, you Czechs, you Latvians, you Finns and so on.
I wonder how Germans think about their Polish "allies" these days. Do they still see them as "inferior Slavic barbarians?" Probably. And to the Poles reading this - these are your supposed friends.

US ban on Russian metals worse than โshot in the footโ
The new sanctions could be a signal to Kiev not to engage in talks, Ambassador Anatoly Antonov has suggested.
The US decision to impose restrictions on Russian metals is an unreasonable move that will only boomerang, Moscowโs envoy to Washington, Anatoly Antonov, has said, suggesting that the new sanctions could be meant to tell Ukraine to keep fighting.
On Friday, the US and UK introduced restrictions on trading Russian aluminum, copper, and nickel. Delivery of those commodities of Russian origin to the London Metal Exchange and Chicago Mercantile Exchange has now been prohibited. The US has also banned imports of those metals.
US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen argued that the move would โtarget the revenue Russia can earn to continue its brutal war against Ukraine.โ

World cannot afford another war โ UN secretary-general about Iranโs attack
Antonio Guterres urged "all parties to exercise maximum restraint to avoid any action that could lead to major military confrontations on multiple fronts in the Middle East".
"I am deeply alarmed about the very real danger of a devastating region-wide escalation. I urge all parties to exercise maximum restraint to avoid any action that could lead to major military confrontations on multiple fronts in the Middle East," he said. "I have repeatedly stressed that neither the region nor the world can afford another war."
Israeli Permanent Representative to the UN Gilad Erdan believes that Iranโs attack violates the UN Charter. At the same time, Iranโs mission to the UN said the attack came as a response to Israelโs attack on its diplomatic facilities In Syria and was carried out in line with the Charterโs clause on legitimate self-defense.

Russian envoy calls UN Security Council meeting on Iran strike parade of hypocrisy
"If Western missions were attacked, you would not hesitate to retaliate and prove your case in this room. Because for you, everything that concerns Western missions and Western citizens is sacred and must be protected," Vasily Nebenzya said.
"You know very well that an attack on a diplomatic mission is a casus belli under international law. And if Western missions were attacked, you would not hesitate to retaliate and prove your case in this room. Because for you, everything that concerns Western missions and Western citizens is sacred and must be protected," he said at a UN Security Council meeting convened in the wake of the Iranian attack on Israeli military installations.
"Today, the Security Council is witnessing such a parade of Western hypocrisy and double standards that it is even somewhat uncomfortable to watch," the diplomat said.
