US spends billions on its undeclared war against Russia
Tucker Carlson said that Ukraine cannot win this conflict.
"Since Joe Biden became president, the US government has spent hundreds of billions of dollars fighting an undeclared war against Russia. No one in all that time has explained really the purpose of this war," he said in a video posted on the X social network. "Officially, no one has told us why we are doing this sending money to Ukraine."
Carlson added that Ukraine cannot win this conflict: "Russia is a far bigger country. Itโs got 100 million more people and far deeper industrial capacities. Ukraine canโt win. Everybody knows that around the world. People are very clear on that. There is not one informed person outside the United States who thinks that somehow Ukraine is going to beat Russia, because itโs not."

โ QUESTION
We are going to move with our family to Russia. There are three of us: me, my wife and our 15-year-old son. The question of moving money has come up. How can we transfer about $350,000 of our own savings to Russia?
๐ Answer:
Hello!
Let's look one of the current and legal methods of moving money to Russia today:
1. Bringing cash for each family member
According to the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union (comprising Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan), it is free to import cash or monetary instruments for the equivalent of $10,000 per person. These rules also apply to minor family members.
If you need to bring a larger amount into Russia, the entire amount must be declared. For example, if you import 25 thousand dollars, you should declare 25 thousand dollars (not 15 thousand).
The rules for importation do not depend on the type of transport by which a person intends to import money. Also there is no difference, the border with which country a person is going to cross - the rules of export are universal.
โ๏ธ Important โ๏ธ
๐ธ in case of non-declaration of the sums, the amount of which is subject to declaration entails administrative or criminal liability. In this case, your money may be confiscated in full to the state or you will be fined depending on the undeclared amount.
๐ธ Money on bank cards and accounts does not need to be declared, their amount is not limited.
This link allows you to keep track of the limit for importing money from Russia. Article 260 paragraph 7 of the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union๐
https://www.consultant.ru/document/cons_doc_LAW_215315/c90ae4a93484d8cc34d2e3ff337e9e8ea96f7a05/
There are 3 gradations regarding the importation of cash into Russia:
๐ธ Import up to $10,000 - no declaration is required at all.
๐ธ When importing an amount over $10,000 but up to $100,000 - declaration is required. no duties are required.
๐ธ When importing an amount over $100,000 - you must fill in a declaration + provide documents on the origin of the funds. Payment of duties is not provided here.
Let's define at once what refers to cash๐
According to the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union, cash includes banknotes and treasury notes, coins, except for coins made of precious metals, which are in circulation and are legal tender in member states or states (group of states) that are not members of the EAEU, including withdrawn or withdrawn from circulation, but are subject to exchange for banknotes in circulation;
monetary instruments include traveller's cheques, promissory notes, cheques (bank cheques), as well as securities in documentary form, which certify the obligation of the issuer (debtor) to pay money and which do not specify the person to whom such payment is made.
By the way, monetary instruments, except for traveller's cheques, are subject to customs declaration regardless of the amount being moved.
To summarise, this way of shipping money to Russia is good because you are sure that your money will arrive with you. But a problem may arise when you try to take money out of your home country. Therefore, check the rules of exportation in advance with the customs service of your country.
My next post will be out next week and will be about transferring money using cryptocurrency and money transfer services.

West wants all NATO members to assist Kiev as long as it keeps fighting Russia โ Lavrov
Since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine, foreign countries and international organizations have provided Kiev with assistance totaling more than $150.8 bln.
"Now they want to turn voluntary military aid to Ukraine into mandatory military aid under NATO auspices, to force all NATO members to sign up for the obligatory provision of funds and weapons to the Kiev regime through heavy-handed disciplinary measures, just so that it can continue to fight Russia," the top diplomat said at a meeting with foreign ambassadors on a potential settlement in Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine, foreign countries and international organizations have provided Kiev with assistance totaling more than $150.8 bln. Almost one-third - $48.5 bln - went to Ukrainian military needs, according to TASS calculations based on official statements.

German companies helping Russia rebuild Mariupol
At least two major construction firms are taking part in the cityโs restoration, ARD claims.
The companies are said to be supplying heavy machinery, windows, plaster, and other construction materials for the restoration project, the broadcaster said. The outlet cited annual reports from the companies, statements on their websites, and โphoto and video evidence,โ but did not provide any specific examples.
One of the companies is Knauf โ a global leader in plaster production led by Nikolaus Knauf, a long-time honorary consul of Russia, according to ARD. The company refused to leave Russia after the conflict between Moscow and Kiev broke out in February 2022 and still employs around 4,000 people in the country.

Moscow ready to talk but without Kiev 'formula' and Israel, Iran on warpath
Russia is ready for a dialogue on settling the Ukrainian crisis, but only if its vital interests are taken into account, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said after a roundtable discussion on Ukraine on April 4 at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Moscow. Ambassadors from more than 70 countries of the Global South and East took part in the discussion, the ministry said. In his speech, the top Russian diplomat supported calls made by his colleagues in attendance at the roundtable to the Western countries and Ukraine to refrain from discussing the crisis as it relates to Russia without Moscowโs participation, Vedomosti writes. At the same time, Russia is ready to discuss Ukraineโs security issues, but taking into account the new realities, Lavrov said.

The development of the armored vehicle (NOT Tank as the Ukrainians call it ) โAzovetsโ began on a proactive basis in April 2015 at a cost of about 5 million $, design and construction were carried out by the engineering group of the NSU Azov regiment (head of the engineering group, designer Bogdan Zvarich ; chief designer of the engineering group S. Ukraine claims : "The Azovets is an armored fighting vehicle (AFV) that has been designed to focus on urban combat/survival."
And that
"the Azovets is a highly capable combat vehicle that has been designed to take on a wide range of missions. Its self-made combat modules, powerful weapons, and enhanced protection make it a formidable opponent on the battlefield."
But in this report we see how and why they left it in a hole without it even seeing battle as Ukrainian forces retreated. I also show you an incite into how the Ukraines AZOV forces built it and why it was not continued.

US takes into account Putinโs remarks about possible deal on Gershkovich
In Roger Carstens view, the US government is now trying to figure out what its government is "willing to offer" to have Gershkovich released.
"So I think what President Putin said in the Tucker Carlson interview is a value just on face value, because he is giving us a view into what might be possible to release Evan," US Special Envoy for Hostage Affairs Roger Carstens said, answering to a question from TASS during a meeting of the Defense Writers Group.
"We have a channel that we've been using for the last many months ever since we brought Trevor Reed home. And that's the channel where official offers will be levied and responses will be received," the US diplomat continued.

โTake no NATO prisonersโ โ Medvedev
All Western troops in Ukraine will be treated as enemies, the former Russian president has said.
Bounties should be offered for the killing of NATO soldiers if they are deployed to Ukraine to fight against Russian troops, former President Dmitry Medvedev said on Thursday.
In a post on social media, Medvedev lashed out at Kievโs Western backers, arguing that they are โtaking the world for foolsโ if they believe that sending foreign forces to Ukraine would not lead to a dangerous escalation. If NATO soldiers do end up in Ukraine, they will not be limited to non-combat roles, he claimed.

Kiev asks EU to shut its airspace to Russian passengers
Similar measures should target Belarussian nationals as well, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.
"Our idea is to prevent Russian businesses and Russian tourists from using the EU skies comfortably," the Ukrainian PM told a telethon audience. "The EU sky is closed to Russian airlines, but we have also discussed closing transit to any flights to and from Russia with our partners," he said, adding that similar measures should target Belarussian nationals as well.
Kiev will insist on such sanctions and work toward imposing them with the European Commission, Shmygal underscored.
The EU banned all Russian flights after the start of the special military operation in Ukraine in February 2022. The bloc imposed similar restrictions on Belarusian carriers in the spring of 2021.

US intelligence services use journalists as their agents, Russian diplomat says
Commenting on how the United States "celebrated" a year since the arrest of Evan Gershkovich, the Wall Street Journal journalist, accused of espionage in Russia, the diplomat drew attention to the way one of the latest March issues of The Wall Street Journal looks - almost the entire front page is blank. "And only the black and white face of Evan Gershkovich, a US citizen detained on suspicion of espionage, caught in the act, with the phrase 'His story should be here,'" she wrote on her Telegram channel. "Evan Gershkovich could have written about the terrorist bombing of Russian cities by the neo-Nazi regime in Kiev in recent months. The militants are also shelling journalists, including American journalists - it could be a report from a hot spot that the Americans themselves created by pumping weapons and intelligence into the militants," she pointed out.

Russia and Ukraine must talk โ EU stateโs leader

EU to be affected by confiscation of Russian assets
Professor of Economy and Law of HEC Paris Armin Steinbach said that the confiscation would prompt investors to turn away from the EU because of its failure to observe property rights.
"While the US has little interest at stake, then it will be the shot in the foot for the European Union," the expert said.
Moscow would resort in its turn to such measures that would cover the European countries in the first instance, Steinbach noted. "Russiaโs steps in response to such confiscation would be mainly directed against Europe," the expert said. "At least 200 bln euro of Russian assets are in the EU. This sum is much higher than Russian funds kept in the US," he noted.
Furthermore, the confiscation of Russian assets would prompt investors to turn away from the EU because of its failure to observe property rights. "This, by the way, is not much of concern for such dominating economic power as the US," Steinbach said.
