The Shitshow Macro Weekly Wrapup Podcast for Friday, December 13, 2024 is out:
Domestic:
-The Department of Justice Inspector General (DOJIG) released his long awaited report regarding January 6 and the FBI yesterday.
--I read the entire thing, including the footnotes yesterday. The MSM is, as usual, badly obfuscating the actual takeaways from the report.
--The headlines in the mainstream press are that there were no “undercover FBI agents” in the crowd that day.
--While video footage has at least a few FBI agents who were observed on the grounds in plain clothes that day, as well as numerous other GOV officials, employees, police, and suspected agents provocateurs, the media headlines obfuscate a very important detail:
--At least 26 of the FBI’s Confidential Human Sources (CHSs) were present or tasked to report on or be present for that day.
--I’ve long said that putting all focus on the FBI is a “red herring.”
--I’ll explain that in more detail in the podcast version, but I wholly expect my reasoning for this belief to become something that the public understands now that this part of the “drip drip dip” of the truth versus the media/DC version of what happened that day has been released.
--As always, don’t take my word for it - read the source docs for yourself:
oig.justice.gov/sites/default/…
--Or @julie_kelly2 and her documentation of an FBI informant in the Proud Boys:
declassified.live/p/who-is-micha…
-A lot of conservative media reported that (former) FBI Director Wray stepped down the day before the report was released because of its damning implications.
--Just my opinion, but I don’t believe it was the report itself; it’s my opinion that the release, now, before Trump comes into office, is a signal that many doors are going to be opened in the very near future. And it was the signal that freaked Wray out, not the report itself.
-To that end, it’s important for Americans to understand moving forward just how woefully the media, January 6 Committee, DOJ, et al misrepresented the history of actual domestic violence in the US.
--As the purpose of the J6 reporting and persecutions seem to have been, in my personal opinion, all politically-motivated rather than truth-focused, the above entities had to frame it as the “worst attack on America/democracy in history.”
--To do so, they had to erase the history of:
--The May 29, 2020 attack by leftist mobs on the White House that burned down St. John’s Church, injured over 70 police officers, and forced POTUS into the emergency bunker.
--The 2020 “Summer of Love” riots that ended with over 20 murders and billions of dollars worth of damage.
--A leftist radical group that shot a senator in the face as he descended the rotunda stairs in the 70s.
--Another leftist radical group that firebombed the inside of the capitol in the 70s.
--Note: a current Democrat politician lobbied for their pardons/commutations, which a Democrat President granted.
--Keep the above in mind as the media/DOJ wail about J6 pardons.
-As mentioned on X by @skepticalblog , in 1974 alone there were 2,044 (radical leftwing group) bombings in America with 24 people killed.
--Skeptical mentioned this with regard to a study that outlined the media’s reluctance to adequately name leftwing violence versus any that can be attributed (even falsely) to right wing movements or individuals.
--Graph outlining the disparity in the show notes. Pay attention to 1974, as mentioned above.
--And a thread/Sub post by @DavidRozado who found that Wikipedia contains 3x more mentions of the “far right” than “far left:”
x.com/DavidRozado/st…
-As if it couldn’t get worse for the DOJ, another DOJIG report has outlined that the DOJ spied on Kash Patel and others in what the DOJ called a “leak investigation.” --Again, the devil is in the details.
--2 members of congress and 43 of their staffers - who just happened to be the Devin Nunes team looking into the Russian Collusion Hoax and its origins.

-For yet another aspect of J6 that the media & committee didn’t want to talk about, @BlazeTV has yet another dive into the Capitol Police that, well, “something smells rotten in Denmark.”
--The outlet has already uncovered at least 3 “J6 hero” CapPo officers who may have committed perjury and/or lied in media interviews and books.
--Now they’re focused on the CapPo officer who shot unarmed protestor Ashli Babbitt.
--If what they are reporting is true, why did this guy still have a job on the force, and why didn’t the IA investigation or J6 committee uncover any of this?

-The woman who accused Duke lacrosse players of raping her nearly 20 years ago has released a video confession stating that she lied about it.
--This is why “believe all women” was never a wise move.
--When humans are involved, “all” of any group is likely to include some liars.
--This is Day 1 stuff, people.
--88 academics weighed in heavily against the lacrosse players when the accusations were made and the media storm against them was at its height. As far as I know, none of the academics have apologized.
--Wayback Machine: a young Steven Miller (@StephenM ) was apparently one of the few who did stand up for the young athletes who were falsely being accused.

-Vice President-elect JD Vance has invited NYC Good Samaritan Daniel Penny to join him for the upcoming Army-Navy game.
--This is certainly a sea change from the old school conservatives (GOPe) who shy away from those who are smeared via “trial by media” and lawfare to a “cede no ground to the Marxists” approach.
-CNN and Jake Tapper have lost a significant motion in the defamation case against them brought by Navy veteran Zachary Young.
--The decisions allow a jury to add punitive damages (some estimates say this could range up to $1 billion), hear expert witnesses on his behalf, and find that he is/was not a public figure (which is important in defamation cases regarding the standard of proof).

-Rep Susan Wild (D-PA), the top Democrat on the House Ethics Committee, has been accused of leaking the investigation into Matt Gaetz despite his resignation from Congress.

-Failed VP candidate Tim Walz’s state of Minnesota is at the center of yet more Somali-based fraud allegations that may have bilked taxpayers out of hundreds of millions of dollars.

War/Military:
-A Chinese national residing in the Los Angeles area (Beverly Hills) was arrested this week for allegedly flying a drone over Vandenberg Space Force Base. While this sounds bad, the devil is in the details as they say, and it gets worse (allegedly).
--To begin with, Vandenberg is where many of the “secret space launches” for the USGOV are from.
--It just so happens that I have passed this area, coming from the Los Angeles area, many times during previous trips from LA to the Solvang area (north of Vandenberg) with an ex. It’s not an “accidental” trip - it takes concerted effort to get to the Vandenberg area.
--Yinpiao Zhou (the Chinese national) in question was not alone, although the DOJ isn’t releasing the information of the person who had accompanied him.
--Zhou had last traveled to China in February, and was arrested attempting to board a flight to China again. His companion had just arrived in the US from China in November.
--The drone had been “hacked” to allow it to ascend to 1 mile above Vandenberg, and a search of his phone showed that he had captured multiple aerial photos, and had a message history coordinating with a friend on how to “hack” the drone to exceed altitude allowances.

-UKR has launched more US-supplied ATACMS missiles into RUS. There are 2 competing stories out there about this, so I’ll provide both.
--The outlet has already uncovered at least 3 “J6 hero” CapPo officers who may have committed perjury and/or lied in media interviews and books.

-UKR has launched more US-supplied ATACMS missiles into RUS. There are 2 competing stories out there about this, so I’ll provide both.
--First, the media is reporting that one hit a RUS aviation facility. RUS officials say that it was just a boiler plant and disrupted heat supply to multiple residential buildings:
sofx.com/ukraine-strike…
--Another version is that 6 were launched, 2 were intercepted and taken out before reaching their target, and that RUS successfully jammed the GPS guidance systems of the other 4, making them miss their targets.
--If the latter is accurate, this presents an issue for UKR, given the below story.
-The Pentagon warned this week that RUS may launch another Oreshnik missile system at UKR.
--As a reminder, this is the system used in Dnipro last month that travels at Mach 11, has 6 warheads each with 6 sub-warheads, turned everything to dust down to 30-feet below ground, and that none of the intel analysts in the West knew existed.
--Now that we know UKR launched more ATACMS, and the last Oreshnik was launched in response to an ATACMS strike against RUS…well, cause and effect.
sofx.com/pentagon-warns…
-The Army has officially relieved a 2-star general (Hamilton) of command for what it calls improper involvement in a subordinate’s promotion board.
--Still no accountability for any decision makers for the absolute Shitshow Afghan withdrawal though, huh?
sofx.com/us-army-reliev…
-Over to Syria, the Al Qaeda and ISIS-aligned rebels who overthrew Assad have made public statements seeking to be allies with RUS. So far they are asking that RUS:
--Continue to maintain its bases in Syria.
--Be allies to the group.
--Help to train the group’s fighters.
--All while the braniacs in the US State Department figure out how to fund it.
--No, seriously, they’re already sending them (our) money.
Markets/economics:
-A US appeals court has struck down the SEC-imposed “board diversity rule” for Nasdaq companies that stated the companies needed diverse representation on their boards.
--Slowly but surely, merit is becoming important again.

-As of Friday’s market close, most major indices were flat or down, including gold. Oil was the major US market that ended in the green, up $1.07 on the day.
-Bitcoin is still moving upwards, up to $102,259.40 as of this writing.
-Most European markets started their days in the green but ended in the red.
-The major Asian markets, however, traded in the red all day and ended there as well.
-The USDJPY currency pair continues in the “danger zone,” now at $153.745
-The MOVE index (bond market volatility) had a brief runup into the $90 range earlier this week, but is now back down to $85.66 (still in the “safe zone").
--The 10yr/3mo spread is starting to regain some sanity as well, which is good.
-Pro tip: Every time I look at financial news lately, I see another piece written about how “Trump tariffs may wreck XXX industry, according to experts.”
--If we’ve learned anything over the past several years, it’s that “experts” and journos are easier to buy than politicians.
--I would imagine that if one were to look closely, one may find that many of these pieces would have some sort of exchange between someone connected with the industry being written about and the journo for writing the piece.
--Either that or a blatant partisan masquerading as an unbiased journalist or expert.
