The Shitshow Macro Saturday, July 27, 2024, Weekly Wrapup is out (late, mea culpa included):
-The next On Statecraft and Religion post will likely be out this weekend
Domestic:
-The same DC DA and prosecutors who are still hunting down & arresting nonviolent J6 protestors have dropped all charges against pro-Hamas protestors who physically attacked DC Metro and US Park Police in DC this week.
-A raid in El Paso this week arrested both the head of the Sinaloa Cartel and the son of cartel kingpin Guzman.
--First, prepare for things to get spicy.
--Perhaps most importantly: why were these two in El Paso? How did they get across the border?
-Netanyahu flew to Mar-a-Lago to meet with Trump on Friday.
--Notably, the media has been going hard trying to paint the relationship between the two in a false light - they know the pro-Hamas wing of the Democrat base is a very bad look for them. Article in the show notes.
-A report by @MZHemingway in @TheFederalist this week is saying that Jack Smith’s anti-Trump deputy J.P. Cooney at DOJ has been excoriated for cultivating a politically toxic environment, disseminating baseless conspiracy theories, and engaging in unprofessional conduct.
--There are far too many allegations of gross politically motivated misconduct in this report to go through here, so I will share the article in the show notes and implore you to read it.
--I will add a personal thought that, in my opinion, we will not bring America back to sanity until those who can’t separate their jobs from politics need to be excised from the DOJ.
-A defamation case against Rachel Maddow, Chris Wallace, and Chris Hayes has been ruled as allowed to proceed in Georgia that alleges the MSNBC hosts made “verifiably false” statements on air when calling a doctor a “uterus collector.” Article in the show notes.
--I will add some personal anecdotal insights about these types of cases and the “sea change” from judges and juries in the Shitshow Macro podcast version.
War/Military:
-The bodies of 5 Israeli hostages were found by Shin Bet & IDF in a Gaza tunnel and returned home, as announced by the IDF spokesman on Thursday. Article in the show notes.
-The US Navy has settled lawsuits with vax mandate conscientious objectors and agreed to expunge their negative records. Article in the show notes.
At least 2 have been reported injured by rockets that struck Al Asad air base in Iraq, where US troops are housed.
-IDF smoked 2 more high-ranking Hezzies Friday morning in an air strike in Markaba.
-NORAD intercepted an unprecedented joint Chinese & Russian bomber patrol near Alaska. While it’s quite common for RUS MIL planes to encroach that airspace, it is extremely uncommon for Chinese ones, especially together.
-Myanmar rebels have captured a strategic MIL HQ from the ruling junta this week. Yes, there is still an active, ongoing civil war/rebellion in Myanmar that most don’t
-know about.
A private security team on a commercial vessel apparently smoked a Houthi USV with small arms fire in the Red Sea.
--I wonder why the chocolate cookie-eating and picture-posting USN captain didn’t try this during his time in the Red Sea.
-Israeli airstrikes hit the Yemen port of Hodeida on Monday. The port was engulfed for days, prompting Yemeni leaders to publicly call the Houthi attacks on Israel a mistake.
--Yup. FAFO. Israel and NATO are not the same in their response decision matrix.
-Israeli Druze were confirmed dead today after a missile hit a field of children playing soccer. Initial reports called it a Hezbollah (Hezzie) attack, but the Hezzie’s denied it.
--For your SA, the Druze are a secretive Essene-like sect whose religion embraces elements of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam into one. From my own personal vantage point, they seem to be the only organized (albeit very small) religion that fully embraces what it means to be an Abrahamic Faith.

Markets/economics:
-FedEx has announced a reduction of daytime domestic flight activity of 60%, which will likely result in the termination of +500 pilots.
--If you don’t understand why this is in markets rather than business, I would direct you to all of my prior comments & warnings about “downstream effects.”
-As reported by @DonMiami3 (of @MacroEdge), Sweden was the first to cut their [central bank] rates, and now they have a near record-high unemployment rate for their country at 9.4% NSA.
--It should also be noted that, post-Hillary Clinton’s toppling of Ghadaffi, Sweden’s open borders policy took it from one of the safest in the world to quickly becoming the rape capital of the world.
--Stop putting silly and unserious people in charge, Westerners.
--Chart in the show notes.
-The rental vacancy rate has now hit 9% in Austin, Texas, as builders continue to deliver new units to the market (supply vs demand). Rents have already dropped 12% from their peak, according to @nickgerli1
--This is just one example of the disastrous effects that bad (or fraudulent) economic data can have on long-view companies that require capital expenditures years in advance.
-According to a post by @unusual_whales on X (a financial/trading account), 47% say their financial situation is getting worse, up by 17% since 2021, according to Gallup.
-According to Peter St. Onge, PhD (@profstonge), 76% of all personal income tax last month went to servicing the $34 trillion US national debt. In the clip that will be in the show notes, The Professor blames much of this on FDR and Richard Nixon. I think the current chuckleheads share some blame, but I will let you determine whether he’s on point as to the origin of the problem.
Business:
-According to the AF Post reporting, Boeing still has no plan to return the astronauts to earth who were stranded on the ISS due to their Starliner failures.
-Andrew Left of Citron Research has been reportedly charged with fraud and market manipulation. If this is true, the projection rule is strong - last month Citron accused Roarding Kitty of market manipulation via his Gamestop and Chewy buys.
-We’ve talked about Schwab facing significant tumult, and it seems there may be more to the story.
@Porter_and_Co (owned by Stansberry) posted a bit of a backstory & interesting chart this week regarding this issue.
--They say that Schwab has transitioned from a discount brokerage to a bank in recent years, and followed many banks in buying long-dated treasuries and MBS in 2020-2021 at record low interest rates.
--This reporting says their bond portfolio exceeds 64% of their common equity tier 1 (CET 1) capital - making it the most vulnerable of all large US banking institutions.
--This could be why their stock has been getting hammered. Chart in the show notes.
Religion:
-Journalist @BenSwann_ has been doing a series called Unmasking Ukraine, which is worth watching no matter where you sit on the “fight to the end” or “sue for peace” spectrum.
--The latest installment focuses on the UKR GOV repression of religious freedom, and how their SBU has been arresting religious leaders. Video link in the show notes.
Geopolitics:
-France’s high-speed rail network was paralyzed this week just hours in advance of the Olympics by a series of coordinated arson attacks.
-Don’t know where else to put this: word is starting to get out that wealthy Russians have started chartering luxury yachts and stacking them with private security and medium-sized rockets & weapons.
--These reportedly are tours that hope to attract Somali pirates so the tour-goers can engage them with rockets and machine guns.
Crazy Conspiracy:
The opening ceremonies to the Olympics in Paris on Friday night looked to be either a brazen attack or mockery of Christianity to many, and an outright satanic ceremony to others.
While some may want to initially write this off as mere alarmism, many across X have been hit with DCMA (European censorship org) violations for sharing short clips or pictures of the ceremony.

While some may want to initially write this off as mere alarmism, many across X have been hit with DCMA (European censorship org) violations for sharing short clips or pictures of the ceremony.
Those who had videos taken down explicitly were any who posted Biblical excerpts that different parts of the ceremony seemed to be directly mocking or “inverting.” As always, I will let you be the judge:
Behold a Pale Horse
(picture won't display on X, is in the original post on Sub)
Last Supper recreation with drag queens
(picture won't display on X, is in the original post on Sub)
That sure looks like Pan and another bearded dude dancing in a bustier
(picture won't display on X, is in the original post on Sub)
From a different ceremony in 2022
*As a guy currency re-reading The Pentateuch (Old Testament), this is pretty easy to see what it is.
(picture won't display on X, is in the original post on Sub)
Macro takeaways/lessons from the week:
-The take from @Cernovich in his post above is one that should be understood and internalized.
--“You may not believe in God, but they do.” Or another take from a different poster, but I can’t remember who: --“Why do you choose this one out of the thousands of gods that exist across religions? Because this is the one they clearly hate.”
--Once you understand what The Inversion Principle is, and why it’s used, you see it all around you and know what we’re up against (explanation in the pod, but not written)
-The bodies of 5 Israeli hostages found shoved in a tunnel in Gaza should be a slap in the face for why you never listen to the “knee jerk” political actors.
--Every time Israel demanded a true count of the surviving hostages and proof of life as a cease-fire requirement, Hamas backed out and set their propagandists (in the Western media) to work. This is why.
-I will try to say this without explicit political intent: the national debt crisis will require extreme short-term fixes or it will eat our nation.
--The 2 parties represented on the ballot in November (a position our Founders warned us about being allowed to be in) have a pretty stark contrast at how it would likely be handled:
---Reduce the size of GOV, spending, and foreign entitlements
---Continue the same until the wheels fall off, and implement a new monetary system (CBDC for a “do over”) that will just lead to the same thing all over again later on down the road.
---As the cool kids say these days, “Which way, Western man?”
White pill(s) for the week:
A not-so-secret about me: I tend to like animals more than most people. While I used to think this was a distinct personality trait, a significant part of my life put me into a world with many other men who have that attribute, also and it’s all made sense since that time.
X user Raw Egg Nationalist (@Babygravy9) shared a video that is just one of the many reasons that I love Japan.
Yes, it’s the last true 1st-world honor culture left on the planet. One aspect of an honor culture is the strong not only showing respect to/for the weak and powerless but protecting and helping them when possible and needed.
I’ve seen quite a few videos of different sections of Japan showing respect for wildlife, and this one came at a time that I felt it was worth showing here. Enjoy this clip from a great follow on X if you’re a fan of animals and nature (as I am, vociferously), Nature Is Amazing (@AMAZlNGNATURE):

New Arizona registration numbers have dropped from the Secretary of State ahead of the Tuesday primary.
Arizona is now R+6.3%, up from R+3.9%. That is good for a Rep lead of +260k registrations, up from +139k in 2020.
Key takeaways:
1) All 15 counties are on a GOP registration shift since 2020
2) Maricopa County is net 60k toward the GOP, with Dems almost 50k below their registration number at this exact point in 2020
3) Yuma and Navajo Counties now have GOP registration lead. Yuma, Navajo, Apache, Coconino all have either big GOP gains and/or big Democrat losses, showing Native Americans and Latinos are not only leaving the Dem Party but becoming Reps.
4) Mohave, Yavapai, Pinal, Pima, and Navajo Counties all have net GOP shifts all have shifts of over 10,000 toward GOP since 2020
What this means is that Democrats are likely to have fewer registrants statewide and in Maricopa than in 2020, meaning they will need to find a way to make a smaller number of party members equal and exceed Biden's already massively bloated total of 1.67mm ballots in 2020. They will not only need to re-deliver those 362k+ phantoms AGAIN, but probably find another 200,000 or more to have shot.
Why should you care? Let the time capsule show at the 2024 primaries Trump should be an easy winner in Arizona. Should be. SHOULD be. If not for...
