Hell of a headline...but it's all pretty pertinent.
The Shitshow Macro Weekly Prep Pod for Monday 4.1.24 is up for premium subscribers

-The Shitshow Macro Pod audio compendiums for posts 6: China went up over the weekend

Domestic Politics:
60 Minutes had a report on Sunday’s show about Havana syndrome that was released at the same time that a media outlet called The Insider published a report blaming it on Russia’s GRU. But there's a reason none of the above should be trusted.

CA Gov Gruesome Newsom reported the CA budget deficit was $58bn in January. It was recently upgraded to $58bn by CA auditors, and is now stated to be $222bn -> and it’s only April.

A Denver official was caught on a leaked video begging illegal immigrants to leave the city. Maybe someone should remind him that Denver declared itself a sanctuary city, therefore they specifically asked for this.

An illegal immigrant Chinese national was caught entering a Marine Corps base without authorization and refusing to leave late last week. Nobody seems to know exactly what he was doing there.

34% of Americans say they would live in another country if they could, the highest level ever reported since the survey began in 1948.

Biden admin considers amnesty for illegals in order to “act on the worsening immigration crisis.” We told you this was coming.

An El Paso Federal Judge ruled on Friday that the criminal migrants who stormed the border and attacked NG soldiers last week must be released from jail.
Reporting shows cartels are coordinating the illegal immigrants to mass at specific points of entry and telling them to stir up chaos, that they won’t face any repercussions for attacking CBP or NG.

Venezuelan criminal immigrant TikTok star who taught his followers how to overtake people’s homes and claim squatter’s rights has now been taken into ICE custody.

War/Military:
China hawk & watcher Kyle Bass is claiming that the CCP sent a “retired” PLA general to warn US combatant commanders that the PLA (CCP) will be taking the Philippines “Second Thomas Shoal” this week, and that the US should stay out of it
-> Perhaps this is one of the “tests” that Erik Prince forecasted and I wrote about in Shitshow Macro 6: China’s Unrestricted Warfare.

German media discovered over the weekend that China has built a replica of the Government Quarter portion of Taiwan in a remote desert of China for training.

Russia has been hitting Ukraine hard. Reports say that UKR is sending child soldiers to the front lines now (there are unconfirmed videos circulating online), and the UKR army is in a retreat.
--The Blob personalities are calling it an assault on Crimea, but they’re moving the wrong way for that to be accurate, and the ones saying it have been wrong (or lying) about everything since the start.

Religion:
Biden administration chose to name Easter Sunday as “Trans Day of Visibility”

Markets/economics:
Service on U.S. debt is slated to hit $1.6 tn by the end of the year, making it the highest expenditure of the USGOV. At current it will rise by $400bn every 4 months.

Copper just hit its most extreme contango in 30 years (futures market predicting higher prices than spot (current)).

Credit Card debt surges exponentially, now far higher than it was in 2008 and 2020.

Gentle reminder: the last 3 market crashes have occurred in election years (00, 08, 20).

Housing divergence: new homes for sale have outpaced new home sales. Last month also saw the largest decrease in home prices since 2021.

Business:
Harvard alum-hiring consulting firm McKinsey is offering 9 months of severance to employees who are willing to leave the company, stating a downturn in business as a reason.

FB ($META) is now alleged to have spied on activity in competitors apps like Snapchat, YouTube, and Amazon. It’s alleged they used a “Man-In-The-Middle” attack via the Israeli VPN Onavo company that FB bought for $200mm in 2013.

AT&T ($T) says the personal data of 7.6mm current customers and 65.4mm former customers has been leaked onto the dark web.
Geopolitics:
The opposition party won local elections in Turkey on Sunday, with Turkish President Erdogan making a public speech saying that he’ll honor the voice of the mayors and step down. I did not have that on my bingo card.

Conspiracy-y:
I misreported that CERN would be firing up the day before the April 9th eclipse…but the reality is even weirder. As it turns out, I had the dates wrong and both CERN and the eclipse will be on April 8, NASA is firing 3 rockets at it for some weird reason, and the path of the eclipse is passing over something like 9 modern-day cities named Nineva - which is a recognizable name for my fellow Christians who’ve read the Bible.

White Pill:
Christians of all walks of life caused an uproar when the Biden Admin ignored Easter Sunday and made a virtue signal of yet another Trans holiday. The admin quickly put out two public messages on Tuesday, and while mealy-mouthed, they did show that your voice still has power. Use it.

Implications:
If Kyle Bass is correct about China & The Philippines, we may be moving into Eric Prince’s predictions. Things could get very spicy very quickly.

The US Debt has become unserviceable. It’s going to take something quite significant to right this ship. If you’ve taken my advice and read The Fourth Turning, you may have some ideas of what this could look like, and it will get squirrely.

Meta may very well get hit with another lawsuit (or slew of them) on top of the $7bn lawsuit that I reported last week. Markets can stay illogical longer than you can stay solvent, and past performance shows they often shoot upwards to grab liquidity before a roller coaster down. Gold prices surging today (Sunday), Copper contango, and deteriorating economy signals all point to keeping your head on a swivel.

The Weekly Read (Monday):
For the Common Defense, an in-depth history of every military engagement of Americans from pre-Revolutionary War to modern-day (pre-GWOT) (it was previously required reading at West Point)

Macro takeaways/lessons from the week:
Buy guns, ammo, beans, and bullets. Things could get weird very soon.
