Reminder: by the time they started filling in skate parks with sand & closing parks and playgrounds, we knew sunlight killed Coof (like all viruses) in <90 seconds.
I'm having a very hard time seeing the GOP as anything other than a scam lately, especially at the national level.
This may make some of you upset, but consider a few things:
1. The GOP has had the border & illegal immigration as a soapbox issue for several decades now. Despite that, those who have fundraised over the border:
-seem to have done little to nothing to help secure $5bn to build a border wall while being perfectly ok with spending hundreds of billions for UKR to defend theirs. GOP have even voted for funding to build literal border walls for quasi-allies (but not our own nation)
-they seem to have no issue with Biden's "under the cover of night" secret flights and outright purchasing of commercial plane tickets for illegal immigrants to be flown into the heartland.
When they don't have any ID, they are allowed to bypass the regulations that would prevent taxpayers from being able to board the same flight.
-they have no issue with the VA reevaluating benefits while illegal immigrants get subsidy payments greater than unemployment in some states - despite having never paid into the system themselves.
The same GOP who brand themselves as "staunch defenders of the Constitution" on Hannity and in campaign fundraising ads have zero to say about:
-gross violations of the Constitution over a virus with a +99% survival rate
-gross violations of attorney-client privilege when Trump's lawyers were spied on
-zero desire to question the gross constitutional violations going on in J6 prosecutions and trials
-zero desire or effort to look into what is looking to largely be a massive entrapment scheme - just like the Whitmer Fednapping
We've seen time and time again that these people have zero desire to represent their base or actually uphold the things that they have built as their own platforms.
