I posted in a letter yesterday the context of a story that drives me to work harder, run faster, and keep swinging.

I was 24, a lieutenant assigned to Fort Hood. It was May 2009, and it was 100 degrees out. I went for a run on campus of Mary Hardin Baylor, a 5 mile circuit I was trying to complete in 40 minutes. I was on mile 4, going up a hill, and feeling sorry for myself.

I looked over to my right and there was a man on the other side of the street working his way up the hill in a wheelchair, with the biggest smile.

I’ve never forgotten that there is a choice to make in every circumstance. Negative or positive. Determined or resigned to defeat.

I finished that run with all I had.

The flaw with the theory that Trump set up vaccine manufacturers to assume legal liability is that vaccine manufacturers have been given immunity against damages. If you take that at face value and look no further it throws cold water on the idea.

But there's more to the story.
Immunity is not a cut and dry issue.
There are limitations.
As Newsweek pointed out in this article, immunity is granted unless there is "willful misconduct" by the company.

Given what we know about pharmaceutical companies, and given the fact that they're offered immunity, what do you suppose the odds are that they might engage in willful misconduct, such as falsifying research data?

Immunity often acts as an enticement to commit fraud. All a plaintiff needs is evidence of willful misconduct.

From there, the document continues, True The Vote gathered surveillance video on the drop boxes in Georgia and is attempting to gather similar such surveillance video from other states.

“We are building out video stories and have compiled videos of individuals stuffing ballot dropboxes with stacks of ballots, individuals depositing ballots in multiple dropboxes, unauthorized coordination between government workers engaged in the exchange of ballots, and several other tranches of video that capture unusual patterns such as the wearing of gloves to deposit ballots, taking pictures of ballot deposits, etc.,” True The Vote’s document says.
