Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer’s Founding of Partisan PAC Raises Ethical and Legal Questions of Possible Misconduct

The PAC paid $45,000 to a PAC during the primary called Defending Arizona Values, which is run by Camelback Strategies, a moderate GOP consulting group with ties to the McCain family that raised money this past year, but spent very little on actual candidates.

Appearing on Stephen K. Bannon’s WarRoom Tuesday, State Rep. Jake Hoffman (R – Queen Creek) told host Bannon that Richer’s operation of the partisan PAC was evidence of misconduct and may violate Arizona law.

“[Steven Richer and Bill Gates] are from the McCain wing of the Republican Party – the Establishment wing,” Hoffman said.

He continued:

The Attorney General’s laid out multiple violations of…”

I joined Charlie Kirk today to discuss the voter disenfranchisement that occurred at the hands of Maricopa County officials this election.

What they have done is evil. It is vindictive. And according to the Attorney General it is illegal.

The AG's office has outlined a litany of allegedly illegal violations of Arizona election law.

This election must not be certified until an exhaustive investigation and complete adjudication of the issues has been permitted to occur.

Judge Loretta Preska of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York ruled the public interest in unsealing a number of Epstein documents outweighs the right to privacy.

Judge Preska ruled material concerning the identities of eight people should be unsealed, despite one subject claiming it could “wrongfully harm (his) privacy and reputation.”

Judge Preska overrode objections from billionaire Tom Pritzker, the executive chairman of the Hyatt Hotel chain, and ordered material related to him be made public.

Tom Pritzker is a member of the powerful Pritzker family and cousin of Illinois Democrat Governor J.B. Pritzker who was just reelected to a second term.

"The timing of the release of the Hunter Biden laptop report was impeccable. You could use the report by Marco Polo to research people who were running in the midterms. Friends linked to Maricopa told me before the results came that the primary reason for the steal was to hinder investigations into Biden, which makes sense because we can do a lot with the majority in the House."

The races for Arizona’s superintendent of public instruction, attorney general and state representative for district 13 are headed for automatic recounts.

Kris Mayes led Republican Abe Hamadeh by a mere 510 votes.

In the superintendent race, Democratic incumbent Kathy Hoffman conceded against Republican Tom Horne. Hoffman tweeted out “After a hard-fought race, we came up short.” The race is still headed for an automatic recount, with Horne winning by a 0.36% margin.

In the state representative race for district 13 which covers northwest Maricopa County and northern Yuma County, Jennifer Pawlik, a Democrat, leads, with the second and third finishers, Liz Harris and Julie Willoughby, both Republicans, separated by only 270 votes. The top two vote getters will be elected.

Arizona State Commissioner Jim O’Connor has sent out a 3rd official letter to all elected county officials:

Tuesday, November 22, 2022

The evidence continues to flood in for the November 8th General Election with reported complaints of problems with voting machines and tabulators throughout Maricopa County.

Cochise County has prudently determined to “table” their certification of their election canvass, until our Secretary of State satisfactorily proves to them that the federal Election Assistance Commission (EAC) “accredited laboratories” were in fact accredited at the time they certified the voting machines and tabulators. Instead of complying with Cochise’s reasonable request, the SOS is bullying the County with threats of “going ahead without them” thereby disrespecting the will and the votes of every voter in the County.

Each of you will be putting your name and reputation on the line with your certification of the canvass. Prudence dictates you approach your solemn obligation with due diligence. It is hoped that you will be among the counties that give serious consideration to joining Cochise in this attempt at enhancing transparency and accountability to the people of your county.

Today I am writing to encourage each of you to take a cautious and conservative stand, as did your fellow Supervisor’s in Cochise County in their tabling the certification of their election canvass, until our Secretary of State proves to them that the EAC “accredited laboratories”, were in fact accredited at the time they certified the voting machines and tabulators.

I do pray that you in our rural counties are less cavalier with the public trust than the Supervisors and Recorder in Maricopa County.

Jim O’Connor
