Seeing all the usual Leftwing Twitterati all butthurt that their #AmericanKGB thug tactics against Donald Trump triggered the appointment of a Special Master to stop the abuses is music to my ears. It means 1.) that this is a huge threat to their current plan to attack him using the National Security organs of the US Government, and 2.) that their criminal actions in this warrant & raid are going to be made public.

2) Politicize the issue to gin up concern/fear

Opening of Judge Aileen Cannon's ruling granting Donald J. Trump's request for a Special Master to thoroughly and exhaustively review the seized property taken from Mar A Lago and compare it with the granted search warrant and property list from the DOJ.

Judge Cannon carefully and thoughtfully let the DOJ make it's case as to why a Special Master was not needed at all.

And then Judge Cannon carefully and thoughtfully rejects the DOJ's argument and is going to appoint a Special Master anyway.

This is....interesting.

The DOJ tried to claim that Trump had no standing to file in court asking for a Special Master because....

...the seized property consists of Presidential records over which Plaintiff lacks a 'possessory interest'.

This means 1 of two things, one of which is patently absurd.

1. The DOJ is claiming that since he's not President anymore, Trump has no right to possess and store his own Presidential records

OR

2. The seized Presidential records **are not Trump's but are some current or former President's records and so Trump has no right to possess them.

If the DOJ was seriously trying to argue to the Court that Trump has no 'possessory interest' in having and storing his own Presidential records from his term in office, that's an absurd argument on it's face given that Bill Clinton and Barack Obama were able to haul off thousands of documents to their respective residences.

But they MIGHT be able to make a case with the court if these are some OTHER PRESIDENT'S RECORDS that Trump declassified and took with him.
