Bannon contempt case: It’s been something. His attorney has just asked to withdraw because he may be a witness. It’s easier for you to read this than for me to explain it, but essentially they purposefully made his attorney into a witness, spied on him and accidentally spied on someone unrelated, and did everything they could to stop Bannon from a defense. The DOJ is trying to prevent Steve Bannon from making public the documents turned over as part of discovery in his J6 case.
Bannon has filed a lawsuit to make the documents public.
CNN, ABC, NBC and more than a dozen news outlets have filed briefs in support of Bannon's suit.

Reminder: Navarro and Bannon refused to appear and take the 5th. They defied the subpoenas. That appears to have been strategy on their part to get to discovery after they were indicted, as I'm sure they knew they would be.
On the other hand, Gen. Flynn responded to the subpoena, appeared for questioning, and then invoked his 5th amendment right not to answer questions, which he could do.
