Wisconsin Rep. Ranthum Calls for Full Audit of WisVote Database

In a statement released today, Rep. Timothy Ranthum, who is also running for Governor, called for the first-ever audit of Wisconsin’s voter registration system, WisVote:

“Today, the Campaigns and Elections Committee held an informational hearing on the WisVote database, which appeared to leave the people of Wisconsin with more unanswered questions…

As the Wisconsin Elections Commission continually contradicts themselves and because many more questions remain unanswered, I request an immediate independent Request for Proposal to obtain a vendor that can perform a full forensic audit of the entire WisVote database. This needs to be done prior to its use in any election…”

Months after the audit of the Maricopa County 2020 election was completed, Dr. Shiva and his firm EchoMail finally received uncorrupted ballot images to analyze. In a presentation summarizing his results, Dr. Shiva highlighted several questions that emerged during the course of his audit:

1) Why wasn’t ballot image and cast vote record analysis the first step in the AZ audit? It could have saved millions of dollars and focused efforts on key areas, like signature verification and chain of custody, Shiva says.

2) EchoMail identified approximately 16K ballots that did not concur with Dominion’s pre- and post-adjudicated tabulation. The audit could have focused on these questionable ballots versus all 2.1M, Shiva argues.

3) Why are 6,835 modified cards missing? There should be a modified card for every ballot flagged for adjudication.
