πΊπΈ SEPTEMBER 11
25 YEARS LATER
Twenty-five years ago today, the world watched in disbelief as the September 11 attacks unfolded in New York, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania.
2,977 innocent people were killed.
Thousands more were injured.
Firefighters, police officers, paramedics and ordinary people ran toward danger while others were trying desperately to escape it.
And in the years that followed, many first responders and survivors continued to suffer β and die β from illnesses linked to the toxic dust and conditions at Ground Zero.
Today is not about politics.
It is about remembering the people who went to work, boarded a plane, answered an emergency call, or simply started an ordinary Tuesday morningβ¦
β¦and never came home.
We remember the victims.
We remember the first responders.
We remember the families whose lives changed forever.
25 years later, we still remember.
Never Forget.
