Trump pauses Hormuz operation after Iran talks progress
Trump said the US is suspending “Project Freedom,” the military operation meant to escort ships through the Strait of Hormuz, after what he called progress toward a deal with Iran.
The blockade itself stays in place, but US escort operations are paused for now.
Traffic through Hormuz still hasn’t normalized, and Iran continues to demand approval for passage.
