An MS NOW journalist has been accused of defending a gunman who shot two National Guardsmen in Washington, DC, leaving them critically wounded.
Justice and Intelligence Correspondent Ken Dilanian speculated Wednesday that the unidentified suspect, who is in custody, may have mistaken the West Virginia guardsmen for members of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
'But of course, there's so much controversy happening now in the United States, with ICE, who are also wearing uniforms and wearing masks,' Dilanian said live at 3pm ET on Katy Tur Reports.
'And, so, you don't know - people walking around with uniforms in an American city, there are some Americans who might object to that. And so, apparently this shooting has happened.'
The remarks were quickly picked up by viewers, with Curtis Houck of Media Research Center's NewsBusters resharing the clip on X.
It was also shared by the conservative X account Breaking911, which wrote of Dilanian: 'MSNBC already defending the gunman who killed US troops on American soil.'
'Hopefully Ken Dilanian just ended his career,' one X user wrote in response. 'Blaming of the very soldiers who lost their lives.'
'It's okay to shoot people in a uniform if they might be ICE?' another added.

Four people were killed and 10 wounded in a shooting at a family gathering in California on Saturday night, US police said, calling it a βtargeted incident.β
The shooting took place inside a banquet hall in Stockton, northeast of San Francisco, just before 6:00 pm, San Joaquin County Sheriffβs office spokesperson Heather Brent told reporters in a news briefing.
The victims, who range from βjuveniles to adults,β were taken to local hospitals, Brent said, adding that information on the shooting was limited.
βWhat we have confirmed at this time is that there was a banquet hall where a family was celebrating. We have 14 victims of this shooting. Four of those are deceased,β Brent said.

The FDA under the Trump administration has found that at least 10 children died because they took the COVID-19 vaccine. The findings were released in a 3,000-word memo written by Dr. Vinay Prasad, who is the director of the FDAβs Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research.
The memo stated that βno fewer than 10β of 96 child deaths reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System were a direct result of the children taking the COVID-19 vaccine. The memo was sent out internally on Friday.

The murder of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska on a light rail train in Charlotte, North Carolina, in August 2025 drew national attention because of the random brutality caught on camera. But beyond that, it brought into question the ongoing decline of America's prosecution and punishment policies, especially within Democrat controlled cities.
The trend within progressive enclaves is to reduce prosecutions in order to reduce crime stats. Far-left district attorneys and judges also have a habit of cutting deals with repeat offenders in order to keep the prison system from being "overwhelmed." Often, they use the excuse that suspects require mental health services rather than long prison sentences.
Violent assailants are set loose on the unsuspecting public over and over again.

The Texas Fusion Center (TXFC) has received information from Carson County Sheriffβs Office (COSO) regarding a missing elderly couple Linda and Gary Lightfoot, according to the agency, the Lightfoots were last seen leaving the city of Panhandle, TX on November 27, 2025 and are not believed to have made it back to their residence in Lubbock Texas.
The couple is believed to be traveling in a silver 2024 Toyota Camry bearing TXLP TWN0925.
Neither Linda nor Gary Lightfoot has a cellphone or any other traceable instrument. Carson COSO believes the coupleβs disappearance poses a credible threat to their health and safety, as Gary Lightfoot is oxygen dependent.
In the latest update on Saturday, the Texas Department of Public Safety issued a Silver Alert as the search continued. DPS noted that their vehicle had been spotted in Santa Rosa, N.M. on Nov. 28, but the direction of travel nor destination are known.
