#KedarnathTemple is a Hindu temple (shrine) dedicated to #Shiva. Located on the #Garhwal #HimalayanRange near the #MandakiniRiver, #Kedarnath is located in the state of #Uttarakhand, India. Due to extreme weather conditions, the temple is open to the general public only between the months of April (Akshaya Tritiya) and November (Kartik Purnima, the autumn full moon). During the winters, the vigraha (deity) from Kedarnath temple is carried down to Ukhimath and where the deity is worshiped for the next six months. Kedarnath is seen as a homogenous form of Shiva, the 'Lord of Kedarkhand', the historical name of the region.

#Madmaheshwar is a temple dedicated to #GodShiva, located in the #Goundar village of #Garhwal #Himalayas in #Uttarakhand, India. Situated at an elevation of 3,497 m (11,473.1 ft), Ukhimath is winter seat of Madmaheswar, It is the #PanchKedar pilgrimage circuit, comprising five #ShivaTemples in the #GarhwalRegion.
The middle (madhya) or belly part or navel (nabhi) of the Shiva, is worshipped at this temple, Temple built by the Pandavas, the survivors of the Hindu epic Mahabharata.

Famously named as the world’s highest man-made lake, this scenic, and a transcendent lake is a must visit and definitely should be added to your list of things to do in #Auli. This serene lake is located right next to the private hotel, Clifftop Club. 

The government developed this lake in view of creating artificial snow on the new ski slopes in the event of low snowfall during certain seasons hindering the tourism for this Ski-Hotspot. The water from this lake is strategically used to feed the snow guns stationed along the ski slopes and thus provides a smooth skiing surface and extends the popular ski season.

Nanda Devi Temple dedicated to Goddess Nanda or Parvati is a Hindu sacred site where the faith of many devotees abides. This religious site can be reached by commencing a swift 3 km stimulating trek from Munsiyari town perched at 7,500 feet above sea level. It is one of the oldest temples in Uttarakhand.

#Haridwar is an ancient city and important Hindu pilgrimage site in North India's #Uttarakhand state, where the #RiverGanges exits the Himalayan foothills. The largest of several sacred ghats (bathing steps), #HarKiPauri hosts a nightly #GangaAarti (river-worshipping ceremony) in which tiny flickering lamps are floated off the steps.
