#NandiHills, or #Nandidurg, is a #HillFortress in the south Indian state of #Karnataka. #TipuSultanFort, a summer retreat of the namesake 18th-century ruler, features stone carvings and wall paintings. Prisoners are said to have been thrown to their death from #TipusDrop, now known for its panoramic views. Local #HinduTemples include the hilltop #YogaNandeeshwaraTemple, guarded by a huge statue of a bull (nandi).
The #MirjanFort is located on the west coast of the #UttaraKannada district in the southern Indian state of #Karnataka. The fort known for its architectural elegance was the location of several battles in the past. It is about 0.5 kilometres from the National Highway 66 and 21 kilometres from Gokarna, the famous Hindu pilgrimage centre on the west coast of India.
#MurudeshwaraTemple is fast becoming one of the most popular tourist spots in #Karnataka because of the humongous statue of Shiva that it houses. The temple is built on the #KandukaHill and is surrounded by the #ArabianSea on three sides.
