The #DudhsagarFalls are best visited as soon after monsoon as possible (October is perfect), when the water levels are highest and the cascades earn their misty nomenclature, #Dudhsagar, meaning โ€˜Sea of Milk' in Konkani.

#DudhsagarFalls (lit. 'Sea of Milk') is a four-tiered #waterfall located on the #MandoviRiver in the Indian state of #Goa. It is 60 km from Panaji by road and is located on the Belgaumโ€“Vasco da Gama rail route about 46 km east of Madgaon and 80 km south of Belagavi. #Dudhsagar Falls is amongst India's tallest waterfalls with a height of 310 m (1017 feet) and an average width of 30 metres (100 feet).
#DudhsagarFalls literally translates to โ€œsea of milkโ€ owing to its milky white color. Amidst the Mollem National Park or rather the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary you will find the majestic and stunningly flowing #Dudhsagar Falls. A spectacular view for the domestic and foreign tourists is the Mandovi River spouting down from the steep side of the mountain from over 1017 feet. The Mandovi River originates on the Deccan Plateau in Karnataka and finds its way through the Western Ghats.
