📢 The National Confederation of Employers of the Republic of Moldova (Confederaţia Naţională a Patronatului din RM - CNPM) and the Foreign Investors Association (Foreign Investors Association in the Republic of Moldova), with support from the Dansk Industri - DI and financing from the New Democracy Fundocracy Fund, organized a new training session for SMEs on the application of ESG principles 🌍 ♻️ and non-financial reporting, held on 5th and 6th of September 2024.
The event started with open remarks from Ms. Veronica Arpintin, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization.
This session brought together 11 women entrepreneurs and leaders, who explored key topics.
By embracing ESG principles, companies not only contribute to sustainable development but also align with international requirements, enhancing their competitiveness in foreign markets and supporting Moldova’s European integration journey.

Ordinary Meeting of the Commission for the Coordination of Activities in the field of Migration and Asylum
On the 10th of September 2024, FIA representatives participated in the Ordinary Meeting of the Commission for the Coordination of Activities in the Field of Migration and Asylum.
Among the main topics included in the agenda of the event, were:
- The mechanism for the phased integration of foreigners, including displaced persons, reform action no. 89 of the National Development Plan for the years 2025-2027, approved by Government Decision no. 361/2024.
- Aspects related to the issue of "immigration of foreigners for the purpose of work and carrying out entrepreneurial activity on the territory of Moldova" (promotion of the draft Law on the admission, stay and supervision of foreigners in the Republic of Moldova).
- Aspects related to the free movement and continuous stay on the territory of Moldova of the citizens of the EU member states.

Meeting with the Parliamentary Commission "Committee for Social Protection, Health and Family"
Yesterday, the Association of Foreign Investors of the Republic of Moldova (FIA) together with the representatives of the Moldovan Association of ICT Companies (ATIC), participated in a joint meeting with the members of the Parliamentary Commission "Committee for Social Protection, Health and Family".
The meeting aimed to discuss essential aspects related to the necessity to adapt the labor legislation to the current realities and needs of the labor market. In this sense, several proposals for the amendment of the Labor Code of the Republic of Moldova no. 154/2003 and of the Law no. 186/2008 on Occupational Health and Safety were presented and examined.
FIA Moldova was represented by Inga Pascal, Project Manager FIA.

Yesterday, FIA representatives participated in the Ordinary Meeting of the WG of the State Commission for the Regulation of Entrepreneurial Activity.
Among the topics included on the agenda, were:
1. Draft GD on the approval of the Law on the record of municipal networks.
2. Substantiation Note and the draft GD for the amendment of the Government Decision no. 360/1996 regarding the state control of quality in construction and the repeal of Government Decision no. 285/1996 regarding the approval of the Regulations for the reception of constructions and related installations.
3. Substantiation Note and the draft GD regarding the specification of the characteristics of access points on radio support with a limited coverage area.
4. Substantiation Note and the draft GD on the approval of the Requirements for the import of products derived from seals; and other topics.

🟢 Today, Mrs. Ana Groza, Executive Director of the Association of Foreign Investors in the Republic of Moldova (FIA) and member of the Board of Directors of the National Medical Insurance Company (CNAM), participated in the International Scientific-Practical Conference with the generic title "Mandatory healthcare insurance in the Republic of Moldova: two decades since implementation".
The event was organized by CNAM, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, WHO, WB, EU and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
The purpose of the conference was:
✅ Analysis of the evolution and impact of the implementation of mandatory health care insurance in Moldova during the 20 years period of time.
✅ Evaluation of the progress achieved, the challenges encountered in ensuring universal coverage and in facilitating the population's access to essential medical services.
✅ Creating a platform for the exchange of experience between various stakeholders of the healthcare sector.

🔹 Training „Egalitatea de Gen la Locul de Muncă”
Pe 19 septembrie, Asociația Investitorilor Străini din Republica Moldova (FIA Moldova), în colaborare cu UN Women Moldova și Consiliul Economic pe lângă Prim-ministrul RM, cu sprijinul Danish Industry (DI) și finanțare din partea New Democracy Fund, a organizat un training dedicat temei „Egalitatea de Gen la Locul de Muncă”.
✨ Evenimentul a startat cu un discurs de salut din partea E.S. Søren JENSEN, Ambasadorul Danemarcei la Chișinău și a vizat explorarea atât a cadrului legal internațional și național privind egalitatea de gen, cât și a contribuției UN Women în promovarea Principiilor de Abilitare a Femeilor.
Participanții au avut ocazia să se implice într-un exercițiu practic, condus de dna Clara HALVORSEN, consultant senior DI, cu accent pe implementarea politicilor și instrumentelor de combatere a hărțuirii la locul de muncă.
Ana Groza, a împărtășit exemple de bune practici privind aplicarea principiilor de egalitate de gen în companiile membre.

⚡ Primul sandbox din regiune ar putea începe activitatea în Zona Economică Liberă de la Bălți.

Astăzi, FIA reunește 26 de membri din 15 țări - acestea sunt cele mai mari companii cu capital străin din Moldova, cu peste 23.000 de locuri de muncă și o investiție totală de 2 miliarde 600 milioane de euro (aproape 19% din PIB-ul Moldovei) în toate sectoarele economiei din Republica Moldova, iar experiența lor în domeniul dezvoltării durabile poate deveni exemplu pentru alte companii.
Prin urmare, FIA împreună cu ONU Moldova și cu sprijinul Guvernului Republicii Moldova organizează la 3 octombrie 2024 «SDG Cooperation Forum. Private Sector for Sustainable Development».

Scopul evenimentului a fost prezentarea Raportului “Disparitatea Salarială între Femei și Bărbați în Moldova: Tendințe Recente și Recomandări de Politici”, elaborat de către OIM.
Raportul oferă o actualizare statistică privind diferența de remunerare între femei și bărbați în RM, precum și o revizuire a cadrului legal și de politici existent pentru a combate inegalitățile de gen pe piața muncii, inclusiv recomandări pentru reducerea decalajului.
În RM, diferența de remunerare între bărbați și femei variază între 5%-9% (când ne referim la salariul pe oră) și între 5%-15% (când ne referim la salariul lunar).
