Middle Data Engineer (Snowflake & dbt)

Salary: $600–800$
Employment: Full-time (EST time)

Responsibilities

• Hands-on development: Build and optimize data pipelines using Snowflake and dbt (data build tool).
• Data Modeling: Design and maintain scalable Data Warehouse structures (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).
• Transformation: Write complex SQL transformations and manage version control for data models.
• ELT/ETL: Build and support data integration pipelines to move data into Snowflake.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor and improve query performance and compute credit usage in Snowflake.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer.
• Snowflake Expert: Practical experience with Snowflake architecture (Virtual Warehouses, Snowpipe, RBAC).
• dbt Mastery: Solid experience in developing dbt projects, including macros, tests, and documentation.
• SQL Pro: Advanced knowledge of SQL and Data Warehousing concepts (SCD Type 2, Fact & Dimension tables).
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Version Control: Good understanding of Git workflows.
