Voting was extended by 3 hours due to the incident in the polling station in Palarikovo, which was closed due to the discovery of white powder. Later it turned out that it was just starch.

#Slovakia (European Parliament election): according to unofficial results published by Dennik, Hlas (~NI) of President-elect Peter Pellegrini is set to enter the European Parliament for the first time.

Hlas was recently expelled from the centre-left PES (S&D) bloc due to entering a national government with the right-wing SNS party.

#Slovakia (European Parliament election): according to unofficial results published by Denník N, the liberal PS (RE) is set to win a plurality in this year’s European Parliament election. The party won this position already in its first run five years ago, then in an alliance with the centre-right Spolu-OD (EPP), now called Demokrati.
