Not only is the #Birthrate in #Japan dropping into unsustainable levels, but the government is openly proposing the idea of selectively #Euthanizing the elderly.

Due to the decline in procreation, the elderly make up a large portion of the Japanese population and most of them do not work. This has become a societal and economic issue as the younger population has to subsidize the older citizens.

Morbidly, this is leading to the proposal of assisted death for the elderly. Will this really solve the problem?
