✦ ✦ Ariest underscored a central challenge, emphasizing meaningful progress in Ethiopia begins with strong, consistent awareness-raising around its true definition.

✦ ✦ She also highlighted the tireless efforts of feminists to support survivors and advocate for prevention, often at great personal risk, including harassment. At the same time, she acknowledged that some have misinterpreted and misapplied feminism, contributing to negative perceptions.
