🇷🇺🇺🇸 Compatriots living in the USA held a series of commemorative events timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Representatives of the Russian diaspora and concerned Americans laid wreaths and flowers at the memorial to the heroes of ALSIB in Fairbanks, at the graves of Soviet pilots at Fort Richardson Military Cemetery in Anchorage (Alaska), at the monument to Soviet soldiers in Plummer Park in Los Angeles and at the memorial bench for soldiers who fell in the battles of World War II in Lincoln Park in San Francisco (California); at a memorial stone to Red Army soldiers in Beaverton (Oregon); at the burial of Red Fleet marine M.Anisimov at the Evergreen Valley Cemetery in Seattle (Washington); at obelisks to the participants of World War II in Vancouver (Washington), Tallahassee (Florida) and New York, as well as at the bas-relief “Spirit of Elbe” and the inscription “Murmansk” in the National World War II Memorial in the American capital. They organized “Immortal Regiment” marches, car rallies, meetings with veterans and festive concerts including those in Illinois, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Сегодня исполняется 175 лет со дня рождения Петра Алексеевича Дементьева — русского предпринимателя, общественного деятеля и основателя американского города Сент-Питерсберг (St. Petersburg), штат Флорида. Его уникальная судьба стала символом культурного моста между Россией и Соединёнными Штатами.
Родившийся 13 мая 1850 года в Российской империи Петр Дементьев эмигрировал в США в конце XIX века. Будучи очарованным климатом и перспективами развития юга Флориды, он решил вложить свои усилия и капитал в развитие региона. Именно благодаря его инициативе и инвестициям в железнодорожную инфраструктуру, в том числе строительство участка железной дороги и развитие порта, на карте Америки появился новый город — Сент-Питерсберг.
Назвав город в честь родного Санкт-Петербурга, Дементьев оставил значимый след в истории американского градостроительства. 💬 Уважаемые коллеги,
Прямые переговоры с украинской стороной, организованные по инициативе Президента России, только что завершились.
В целом, мы удовлетворены результатом и готовы продолжать контакты.
О чём договорились:
1. Первое. В ближайшие дни произойдёт масштабный обмен пленными 1000 на 1000 человек.
2. Второе. Украинская сторона запросила прямые переговоры между руководителями государств. Мы приняли этот запрос к сведению.
3. И третье. Мы договорились о том, что каждая сторона представит своё видение возможного будущего прекращения огня. Пропишет это в деталях.
После того, как такое видение будет представлено, мы полагаем целесообразным, об этом тоже договорено, продолжить наши переговоры.

💬 Dear colleagues,
The direct negotiations with the Ukrainian side, held on the initiative of the President of Russia, have just concluded.
In general, we are satisfied with the outcome and are ready to continue contacts.
This is what we agreed on:
1. In the coming days there will be a large-scale exchange of prisoners of war — 1,000 for 1,000.
2. The Ukrainian side has requested direct talks between the heads of state. We have taken notice of this request.
3. We agreed that each side would present its vision of a possible future ceasefire. This will be outlined in detail.
Once this vision has been presented, we believe it would be appropriate, as also agreed, to continue our negotiations.

Война югославских партизан вместе с советскими войсками против немецких, итальянских, венгерских оккупантов и их союзников-коллаборационистов велась с 4 июля 1941 по 15 мая 1945 года. И завершилась освобождением страны от оккупации.
Судьба югославских земель сложилась по-разному. Одни регионы оказались под контролем оккупантов, другие были присоединены к территориям Италии, Венгрии и Болгарии.
20 октября 1944 года советские войска вместе с частями Народно-освободительной армии Югославии (НОАЮ) и партизанскими отрядами освободили столицу Югославии Белград, а также Македонию и большую часть Черногории и Сербии. Но в руках противника оставались часть Боснии, Хорватия и Словения.
К середине мая сопротивление югославским и советским воинам оказывали лишь остатки нацистских войск. 15 мая враг был разгромлен.

М.Рубио приветствовал договоренности об обмене военнопленными и о подготовке каждой из сторон своего видения тех условий, которые необходимы для выхода на перемирие, подчеркнул готовность Вашингтона и далее содействовать поискам урегулирования.
С.В.Лавров отметил позитивную роль США, способствовавших тому, что Киев в конечном итоге принял предложение Президента России В.В.Путина о возобновлении стамбульских переговоров.
Подтвердил готовность Москвы к продолжению совместной работы с американскими коллегами в этом контексте.

Sergey Lavrov acknowledged the constructive role played by the United States in encouraging Kiev to finally accept President Vladimir Putin’s proposal to resume negotiations in Istanbul.
He reiterated Moscow’s willingness to continue working with US colleagues in this context.

🔹Each Laureate will receive a cash prize valued at $10,000. The finalists will be invited to the International Forum of Civil Participation #WEARETOGETHER, which is traditionally held in Moscow in December 2025. The Forum will host the country's top officials and leaders of international organizations.

🔹The International Prize #WEARETOGETHER is an international contest aimed at recognizing and supporting projects that help people and improve the quality of life in Russia and around the world. The Prize was established in 2020 and today unites more than 145,000 projects from Russia and 140 countries that have helped millions of people across the world.
🔹The topic of the Prize 2025 is “Social Partnership for Global Development”. Applications for the Prize can be submitted by foreign individuals (volunteers, unregistered associations) and representatives of foreign legal entities (non-profit, public and business organizations) aged 18 and over, without citizenship of the Russian Federation, and in the following 2 nominations:
