On September 21, FM S. Lavrov took part in a trilateral ministerial meeting in the Astana format held on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 77th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
During an in-depth exchange of views on the current situation in 🇸🇾 Syria and around it, the Ministers emphasised the need to achieve sustainable stabilisation on the ground and peace and security of the Syrian Arab Republic by restoring its sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity.
Following the trilateral meeting, the Foreign Ministers of Russia, Iran and Turkey held consultations with 🇺🇳 UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen. They discussed the progress of the political process, which the Syrians themselves are conducting with UN support in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2254.

В мероприятии приняли участие Посол Белоруссии в Москве Д.Н.Крутой, Государственный секретарь Союзного государства Д.Ф.Мезенцев, главы дипломатических миссий ряда иностранных государств.
🇷🇺🇧🇾 С.В.Лавров подчеркнул важность сохранения исторической памяти и правды о многовековых культурно-исторических, духовно-нравственных и родственных узах россиян и белорусов, акцентировал тесное сотрудничество России и Белоруссии на современном этапе, важность укрепления интеграции в рамках Союзного государства.
Белорусской стороне были переданы в дар муляжи исторических документов экспозиции.

Главы внешнеполитических ведомств в традиционно доверительном, конструктивном ключе обменялись мнениями по актуальным вопросам двустороннего стратегического партнёрства.
Отфиксирован неизменный подход обеих стран в отношении категорической неприемлемости применения односторонних санкционных мер.
Б.Родригес подтвердил солидарность Кубы с усилиями России по защите мира, безопасности и международного права на основе Устава ООН.
Российская сторона вновь выразила поддержку Гаване в ее справедливом требовании полной и безотлагательной отмены американского эмбарго.
Подписан План межмидовских консультаций на пятилетний период.

Al margen del 77 período de sesiones de la Asamblea General de la ONU, S. Lavrov sostuvo conversaciones con el Ministro de Relaciones Exteriores de Cuba, B. Rodríguez.
Los titulares de las cancillerías intercambiaron puntos de vista de manera tradicionalmente confidencial y constructiva sobre temas de actualidad de la asociación estratégica bilateral.
Quedó constancia del invariable enfoque de ambos países en cuanto a la categórica inaceptabilidad de la aplicación de medidas sancionadoras unilaterales.
B. Rodríguez ratificó la solidaridad de Cuba con los esfuerzos de Rusia para proteger la paz, la seguridad y el derecho internacional sobre la base de la Carta de la ONU.
La parte rusa expresó una vez más su apoyo a La Habana en su justo reclamo por el levantamiento total e inmediato del embargo estadounidense. Se firmó un plan de consultas inter-MFA por un período de cinco años.
