Merry Christmas! On this day in 1914 at the height of WW1, soldiers from England and Germany put down their weapons and broke out in carol singing together from their opposing trenches.

Only the day before, they were ordered to kill each other mercilessly, while elite leaders they had never met or served alongside of, enjoyed the warmth and decadence of home.

Ignoring the rules of war, they unilaterally declared a ceasefire in No Manโ€™s Land, making peace to celebrate Christโ€™s birth.

The famous truce demonstrated how the love of Jesus Christ can conquer even the thickest fog of war, and although the battles would rage on for another 4 years,
it showed, even for a short breathe of time, who their true enemy was, and that Christ was still king.

This Christmas, letโ€™s pray for peace between Russia and Ukraine, Israel and the Palestinians, and all those who battle with one another needlessly.

God bless all you and Merry Christmas!
