Just from internship induction at st Mary's Kibabii boys.
1) The tsc deputy director said there's no guarantee for an intern teacher to be confirmed into permanent job since the internship is a government policy.
2) There are possibilities of increasing our stipend slightly higher than the stated 15k.
3) The issue on maternity leave is still being discussed,per now there's no maternity leave.
4) Yearly mass recruitment Will always be there and the intern teacher is allowed to apply for the same, when you get the job you write a termination letter to TSC within 14days.
5)Intern teacher Will be given marks and certificate only after 12 months of internship period otherwise no marks per now.
6) We will be paid when the TSC finalize all the required documentation and he said it will be soon.

*QUALITY EDUCATION SUFFERING AS INTERN TEACHERS COMPLAIN OF NEGLECT AND BEING OVERWORKED*

"... Good morning sir, am kindly requesting to let you publicise the fate of intern teachers. We are undergoing hell on earth, huge workload, given candidate classes, actually in most cases, we are the only subject teachers in our stations, yet without pay. For the months we have worked we have not been paid. We just work like any other tsc teachers on permanent terms. We even do more work than them. Then why are we being discriminated against yet we are employed with govt? Speaking for myself and 10,000 other intern teachers. Kindly hide my identity for obvious reasons; Victimization and intimidation. Am looking forward for ua reply, thanks

Intern teachers are now handling our children in Public schools. They are earning peanuts, overworked and now discouraged. Who suffers? Quality public education.

We cannot have a situation where graduate teachers are treated as interns and do kazi ya kanisa and we expect them to deliver quality education It won't work. Our children in public schools are simply NOT getting a proper education.

*CONCLUSION*
That use billions servicing debts, fighting corrruption, on state functions including funerals, on BBI rallies etc... Yet our future is being dimned by denying our kids quality public education.. is a shame. It us time to cry for our beloved country Kenya for having wrong priorities.

*WHAT THE PROMOTIONS MEAN FOR KNUT MEMBERS AND OTHER TEACHERS BASED ON CPG AND SOS.*

The Teachers Service Commission CEO has today announced the promotion of teachers This July after the Commission set aside 7 billion for the exercise. In a move which has vindicated TEAM Sanity,TSC will move all the B5 who were already teachers as at July,2017 and are Strickly under The Carer Progression Guidelines will move to C1.

Teachers in C1 will move to C2 and C2 to C3. These teachers must be serving under CPG and not Schemes of Service.
Secondary school teachers will also move as follows.
C1 to C2 for Diploma holders (Secondary school teacher2)
C2 to C3( Degree holders Secondary School teacher 1)
C4 and above in Primary Schools had already taken interviews accordingly and will move as per their current grades.

*WHAT NEXT FOR TEACHERS IN KNUT.*
Teachers still in Knut will have to wait for TSC to advertise Teacher Proficiency Course for their promotion because that is what the Schemes of Service say. They will then be promoted as per the existing vacancies unlike under CPG in which teachers in a common cadre for P1 move in mass.

*CONCLUSION(Quit Knut Season 3 starts immediately).*
Knut members are advised to QUIT until further notice. Teachers must not suffer for individuals who are ungrateful.
