On the morning of the massacre, he drove towards the fighting. On the way, he communicated over the radio with everyone possible, moved forces, and warned soldiers not to enter the inferno when they had no chance. At that moment, he decided to stop the terrorists at all costs, knowing it would cost him his own life.
