𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 — admission is genuinely uncertain for you.
𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 — your profile sits in the middle of their admitted students.
𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲𝗹𝘆 — you would be surprised not to get in.

Two to three of each is enough. What makes the list good is not the names; it is that you would be happy, and financially safe, at every single one of them.

Profile, Family, Education — your details, your parents, your school and grades. About 1–2 hours if your documents are already in front of you.

- Testing — you decide here whether to report scores at all.
- Activities — 10 slots, 150 characters each. Plan 3–5 hours. This is where most students under-invest.
- Writing — the personal essay, up to 650 words. Weeks, not hours. Plus an optional additional-information box.

You do not need a finished application today. You need four things moving: a real university list, a first essay draft, two teachers who have said yes, and a folder where your documents live.

Do that in September and October stops being a panic.

The essay answers a different question: what are you like to have in a classroom for four years?

Admissions officers read it looking for how you think, what you notice, and how you deal with something not going your way. Not for adjectives.
