وقتی بین دو تا مورد تردید وجود داره از whether استفاده میشه. مثال به این معنی هست:
(نظامین کره جنوبی) نگفتند که ایا پرتاب این شلیک موفق بوده است (یا نه؟)
میشه whether را با or not هم آورد. به مثال زیر توجه کنید:
I don’t know whether I can get good marks in the exam or not.
OR
I don’t know whether or not I can get good marks in the exam.
OR
I don’t know whether I can get good marks in the exam.
تمامی جملات بالا به یک معنی هست.
حالا چند تا مثال دیگه:
I am curious to know whether (or not) you could show me the right way.
They are not sure whether they can rely on your help (or not).
He wants to know whether it is possible for you to give him another chance.
توجه: در تمامی مثالهای بالا شما میتونید از واژه if استفاده کنید و معنی جمله بدون تغییر باقی میمونه.
البته اگر از if استفاده کردید دیگه نباید or not را در جمله بیارید. مثال:

وقتی بین دو تا مورد تردید وجود داره از whether استفاده میشه. مثال به این معنی هست:
(نظامین کره جنوبی) نگفتند که ایا پرتاب این شلیک موفق بوده است (یا نه؟)
میشه whether را با or not هم آورد. به مثال زیر توجه کنید:
I don’t know whether I can get good marks in the exam or not.
OR
I don’t know whether or not I can get good marks in the exam.
OR
I don’t know whether I can get good marks in the exam.
تمامی جملات بالا به یک معنی هست.
حالا چند تا مثال دیگه:

توجه: در تمامی مثالهای بالا شما میتونید از واژه if استفاده کنید و معنی جمله بدون تغییر باقی میمونه.

خوب این یه clause هست که در واقع داره در مورد کلمه ای که قبلش امده توضیحات بیشتر میده. چند تا مثال:

در مورد این گرامر در درسهای بعدی بیشتر توضیح میدم. در حال حاضر این تو ذهنتون باشه که هر وقت میخواین توضیح بیشتری راجع به یه کلمه در جمله بدین از این گرامر استفاده میکنین.

این همان reported speech هست که پیشتر در موردش گفته بودیم و الان یه مثال دیگه ازش دیدیم. این البته یک مقدار متفاوت است از این حیث که passive هست. معنی این جمله این میشه:
شیخ توضیح بیشتری نداد (گذشته ساده) که این پولها در کجا مصرف شده بود ( گذشته بعید چون این نقل قولی هست که با زمان گذشته ساده آمده)
پس حالا ما نحوه استفاده از نقل قول در گذشته با فعل مجهول رو مرور کردیم. چند تا مثال دیگه براتون میذارم:
I said about the personnel's energy had been wasted in the project.
They talked about the opportunities had been missed thanks to lack good management.

تفاوت ها و کاربردهای makeو do
فعل make به معنای تولید کردن و خلق کردن به کار می رود، در حالیکه فعل do به معنای اجرا کردن و عمل کردن به کار می رود. یعنی با توجه به معنی جمله باید تشخیص داد که از make یا do استفاده بشه. اگه معنی جمله با فعل تولید و خلق کردن کامل بشه از make و اگه با فعلاجرا و عمل کردن کامل بشه از do استفاده می شه.
این دو فعل در تعدادی از عبارات یافت می شود که در زیر آمده است:

ساده ترین عبارت برای عذرخواهی کردن در موقعیت های دوستانه و غیر رسمی عبارات Sorryو یا I’m Sorryمی باشد. که در پاسخ به آن می توان از این عبارات استفاده نمود. اشکالی ندارد- عیبی ندارد : It’s okو یا مهم نیست: Never mind
1- واقعا متأسفم.
