I wish we had a society wherein the vast majority of people never had to think about politics. It would be taken care of for them, and they would never need to have an opinion about it - and certainly, they would never be relied upon to have a good opinion about it.

But, having said that, the last 2 years show the folly of relying on an elite to have the right idea. And indeed, having been pathetically bovine for 2 years, the proles are suddenly demonstrating that they are more reliable than the elite in terms of being sane.

Man truly is a fallen creature. There is no clean answer to the conundrum.

There has to be an elite, but it has to be a sane elite.

In addition, the elite might not live in the same reality as the masses, but it has to at least respect their reality.
