"One of the things I find so disturbingly amazing about this generation is how many lack the ability to be alert." (14:00)

Dr Chuck Baldwin of Liberty Fellowship, Montana, has become one of my favourite preachers of late. His congregation applauds him not for show but because they profoundly appreciate his plain speaking after having endured a bunch of hirelings before finding this church.

This is a bit down in the weeds for constitutional newbies but I find it the best, most measured talk I've yet come across on how the Treaty of Ghent (1814) and subsequent tinkering with the US Constitution brought America back into the commercial Crown's fold.

The quadrants' names translate as:

"the civilised world" (oecumene);
"our latitude-sharers" (periœci, i.e. North America, literally, "the around-dwellers");
"the mirrored dwellers [longitudinally]" (antœci, i.e. southern Africa);
"the opposite-footers" (antipodes).

What do you get when you cross the KGB with DNA?

Iron Felix nicks your helix.
In his Dyfed drawl and with his sloppy demeanour and studied lack of eye contact, it just comes out as “I’m the only gay in the village.”

Principle 20 of 286. Politically and culturally distinct territories with “insignificant” populations very much do have an entitlement to a representative of their own in the lower House, because men are not machines and not fungible assets.

Definitely listen to Roland Perry being interviewed by ex-BBC Tony Gosling, even if you don’t read The Fifth Man.
Perry is an Australian who actually bothered to spend time in Moscow listening to the old chekists talk about Victor Rothschild’s loyalties and accurately representing their statements in English, which no British journalist did.

Principle 7 of 286. Constitutions are meant to secure the blessings of liberty for those yet unborn, so it is a duty (not “unchristian”) to suspect those to whom you have entrusted your birthright.
I’m told my reading of this, the last of Skousen’s introductory principles, is the best reading so far. It’s a quarter-hour long but you can listen in double speed, thanks to the “2x” button.
