Eastern Approaches—Alex Thomson
The author was Ed Miliband’s handler. The reason why he is pushing the abolition of Christian instruction is that his think tank was set up to get women into offices to “boost income”. He actually draws out that potential himself in the piece; I’m not misrepresenting…
It only took our subscribers here a couple of hours to point out that the author in question is but two steps removed from George Soros. Perhaps I should institute a Mornington Crescentesque challenge on this channel for people in the comments to trace the villain of a post back to the Son of Tivadar in as few removes as possible.

120 years ago yesterday, the Scottish Athlete Eric Liddell was born in China to missionary parents. He's most famous for his refusal to take part in the 100 meter sprint in the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris. Liddell was a devout Christian and the sprint was on a Sunday.
Instead he competed in the 400 meters held on a weekday, a race that he won.

He returned to China in 1925 to serve as a missionary teacher. Aside from two furloughs in Scotland, he remained in China until his death in a Japanese civilian internment camp in 1945.

Brian used an apt caption for June Raine yesterday.

Desperate scences outside Broadcasting house, Belfast, as dozens of well-paid commies were put in peril of their lives by incomprehensible Belfastians shouting stuff at them.

A fifth(!) British C-17 military cargo plane has taken off for Ukraine over the past 24 hours.

According to reports, the cargo may include advanced NLAW missile systems.

Germany is said to have closed its airspace to these flights

I walked right to the back, hopping from hexagonal pillar to pillar above the crashing waves. Then again, I was only fourteen and felt invincible.

"It dawned on me day that most of the scare stories in the media today are based on things that are invisible."

Sarah Boyle and her husband Charlie, vicar of All Saints', Branksome Park, Poole, Dorset, are facing a very tough time at the moment. Sarah is the lady whose interview from the recent York march was widely shared.

Tip: Turn on subtitles or use the three-dots button (on a desktop browser) to bring up the automated transcript, as this recording was made at a distance from the speaker.

(Apologies for quiet volume)
Principle 16 of 286. The lower chamber should represent the people by constituencies in proportion to population size. This must be tempered by the upper chamber (drawn on a different model of representation), to prevent conurbations and populous states/counties lording it.

From a few seconds after the one-hour mark:
All Saints', Branksome: the Boyles, Archdeacon Accountant and Bishop "Karen Rules".

(Entirely coincidentally, the manse occupied by the Boyles is one of the last remaining unflogged Victorian rectories, the neighbouring parish has an incumbent coming up for retirement, and if the two parishes were merged, a tidy sum could be made. The hierarchy has already told the Boyles in writing to accept a golden handshake before things get "very messy".)
