Oliver Cromwell’s Speech to the House of Commons
It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place, which you have dishonored by your contempt of all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice; ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government; ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would like Esau sell your country for a mess of pottage, and like Judas betray your God for a few pieces of money.
Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you? Is there one vice you do not possess? Ye have no more religion than my horse; gold is your God; which of you have not barter’d your conscience for bribes? Is there a man amongst you that has the least care for the good of the Commonwealth?
Ye sordid prostitutes have you not defil’d this sacred place, and turn’d the Lord’s temple into a den of thieves, by your immoral principles and wicked practices? Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation; you were deputed here by the people to get grievances redress’d, are yourselves become the grievance! So! Take away that shining bauble there, and lock up the doors.
In the name of God, go!
Oliver Cromwell, April 20, 1653

Well-known from The Sky at Night. Did you know that Sir Patrick Moore, under a pseudonym ("R.T. Fishall"), wrote a whole book forty years ago on how to frustrate petty bureaucrats and slow down the EEC and the cultural Marxists?

My first Bible study, on "Obedience to government", is about to start. Questions are by text chat. Please post your questions as a response to this post, and I'll be watching them come in on Telegram as I have the Bible open in front of me. Q&A will occupy the last quarter-hour, from 19:45 GMT. Everyone will be muted throughout except me.

Recommended authors on Romans 13 and the limits of Christian obedience to government, as mentioned in the Bible study just now:
J.L. Fuller, Romans 13 and Covid 19 (which has a footnote referencing UK Column)
Gordon Runyan (several relevant books, including one with Romans 13 in the title)
Matthew Trewhella, The Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrate
All the above are available as affordable e-books.
Additionally, in response to a query posted just now by someone keen to have a good treatment of early Biblical law, the best author all round is R.L. Rushdoony, whose books are costlier and not always readily available as e-books (but more of them are becoming available that way).

A couple of people have asked about recordings of my Bible studies. It hadn’t even occurred to me that anyone would value that. I leave it to the audience to record future livestreams and disseminate them. Gratified that there should be that interest.

I am greatly flattered that a fine young lawyer has just told me he didn’t fully realise the importance of constitutional principles until he started listening to my contributions and UK Column more generally. However, this oughtn’t be too much of a surprise, given that for the last half-century, law schools in the English-speaking world have devoted about half a module to constitutional law (now usually bundled in both English and Scottish universities with “administrative” and “EU” law).
It’s analogous to the amount of instruction on vaccines that one careful researcher checked the extent of by purchasing a full set of US medical school textbooks. He found that it ran to four pages in all.

Serious Jews "losing patience" with the corruption of their children at school.
Brian Gerrish was one of the very few men to point out, when the Birmingham parents' protests hit the headlines a couple of years ago, that Jews, Christians and Muslims were united in this resistance. The same has applied in Scotland, which has even worse school sexualisation.
I increasingly often find myself noting that all the disagreements between Jews, Christians and Muslims (and other monotheistic religions, including Sikhism and Zoroastrianism)—fundamental though they be—relate to salvation history. There seem to be precious few eschatological (end-times-related) disagreements between monotheists. There will be a man of sin and there will be a people of God.

Out of all the Government propaganda we have seen this is the sickest yet. Paid for by the Victoria Government in Australia it is anti parent, pro LGBT etc in kids and encourages jabs behind parents backs. SICK!

Emily in our chat has observed that "the C of E is committing suicide, jumping before it’s pushed. I, reluctantly, have a front row seat."
She's right, and there's a reason for it.
As my Dad put it recently:
"What [the hierarchy] is trying to do is to destroy/control the Church of England before the power of educated Christian Bible-believing literacy asserts itself. If the dissidents remain, they’ll take over."

This is what I mean when I encourage going under the state, or secession with a small ‘s’.
Declare yourself a private club, like this French eatery that’s not minded to demand Papers Please, and you suddenly find that your members have the liberty and responsibility to govern their own conduct. Globalists hate it.

I continue to maintain a light-touch moderation policy on this channel. Good people's opinions as to what constitutes on-topic discussion are very varied. I already offended one evidently very sincere subscriber with the "please keep it relevant" policy set out in one of my pinned posts above; the subscriber in question deleted a very useful link he'd posted.
Flashy GIFs with cartoon characters' eyes popping out at some new development, and "look at these bad Jews" posts, annoy me but I'm not going to remove them or anything else that doesn't use bad language.
What I have deleted and blocked a few of are blatant adverts for low-quality Telegram channels, some of which are quite obviously defrauding the public by claming the name of a public figure (with the blurb written in the first person) who has nothing to do with the channel.
