特勤局可以豪花公帑租豪宅，事出有因。他們服務亨特，可追溯至2018年甚至更早。
2018年十月，亨特醉酒後把手槍丟棄至一個鄰近一間高中的垃圾站，警方遍尋不獲；特勤局知道後就想到要替亨特「銷毀買槍紀錄」威脅槍店老闆交出購買單據。
