Celebrities are no strangers to crypto. James Hugh Calum Laurie - the acclaimed actor best known for House, M.D. 📺 and his iconic comedy duo with Stephen Fry 🎭 - is among the stars who’ve dipped their toes into digital currency 💸
Unlike many others who dove into NFTs or altcoins, Laurie made a simple early bet: in 2015, he reportedly bought $5,000 worth of Bitcoin on a friend’s advice.
Even with the recent slump in crypto, Bitcoin’s value has soared since then. Whether he held on or not - that was one remarkably foresighted move.

Meet Nelson, one of our successful candidates, who passed his TCP50 evaluation in November 2025. In his interview, he shared how discipline transformed his trading.
💹 Nelson earns his living exclusively from trading. He was drawn to proprietary trading firms because they let traders access firm capital instead of using their own funds.
📊 His trading approach is simple and grounded in classical technical analysis. He focuses on structural breakouts and continuation patterns based on price and volume, drawing on Wyckoff-style market structure. He avoids overly complex indicators and prefers tools and methods with long-term statistical reliability.

🧠 Early on, Nelson struggled with unrealistic expectations, emotional decision-making, and repeated account losses. Over time, he realized trading is largely psychological - to him, around 70% of success comes down to emotional control. Learning to accept losses and respect stop-losses became the turning point that helped him find consistency.
🛡️ Risk management is at the heart of his trading approach. Nelson emphasizes small, consistent gains and strict loss control, believing no strategy can work long-term without discipline and proper risk limits.
🚀 He sees passing the Earn2Trade evaluation as a meaningful professional milestone. After failing several times due to risk management mistakes, he adjusted his approach and ultimately passed. Nelson highlights the program’s professionalism, the structured career path, and clear risk rules.
📈 He now focuses on gradually scaling into larger funded accounts while keeping his operation efficient.
💡 His advice for traders: treat trading as a serious profession, maintain realistic expectations, and focus on disciplined, consistent execution – not chasing fast money.

Who hasn’t heard of the Relative Strength Index? While many other oscillators live in its shadow 👤, some are just as efficient, if not more so. One such underrated indicator is the Money Flow Index.
The MFI has been dubbed a volume-weighted RSI as it takes into account both price 📈 and volume data 📊. The combination of volume and price could give a better idea of the market sentiment. However, there’s no point in judging which is better, and many traders simply use both to make more informed decisions.
Have you ever given this powerful duo a go?
