Donald Trump posted on his page on the social network Truth Social a message from Emmanuel Macron, who proposed to organize a meeting of the "Group of Seven" (G7) in Paris and invite Russian representatives.
“I can organize a G7 meeting in Paris after Davos on Thursday. I can invite Ukrainians, Danes, Syrians, and Russians,” the published screenshot says.
Macron suggested to Trump to have dinner together in the French capital before the American leader departs for the USA.
“My friend. We are totally in line on Syria. We can do great things on Iran. But I don't understand what you're doing on Greenland... Let's have dinner together in Paris on Thursday before your return to the USA,” the French president wrote.

Trump harshly criticized the UK over plans to transfer the island of Diego Garcia to Mauritius, where a US military base is located.
He called London's actions a sign of weakness and said that Moscow and Beijing have already noticed them.
"It's shocking, but our 'brilliant' NATO ally, the UK, is going to give Diego Garcia island - the site of a vital US military base - to Mauritius for no reason," Trump wrote.
He added that the transfer of "extremely important land" is an "act of the greatest stupidity" and used this episode as an argument in favor of the need to acquire Greenland.

An unprecedented level of security in Greenland: another 58 Danish soldiers have arrived on the island to protect it from Donald Trump's claims, reports TV2 channel.
They joined a contingent of 60 military personnel who were sent to the region earlier. The army's chief of staff clarified that the military is practicing scenarios of defending the island.
