Today, an Iranian-flagged cargo ship named TOUSKA, nearly 900 feet long and weighing almost as much as an aircraft carrier, tried to get past our Naval Blockade, and it did not go well for them. The U.S. Navy Guided Missile Destroyer USS SPRUANCE intercepted the TOUSKA in the Gulf of Oman, and gave them fair warning to stop. The Iranian crew refused to listen, so our Navy ship stopped them right in their tracks by blowing a hole in the engineroom. Right now, U.S. Marines have custody of the vessel. Ukraine has proposed to the US to name a part of the Donbass under its control "Donnyland", The New York Times reports, citing sources.
Such a proposal, "appealing to the vanity of the US president", was "partly in jest" mentioned by one of the Ukrainian negotiators during contacts with the US in recent months. After that, the term began to be occasionally used in conversations, but there was no progress.
One of the Ukrainian negotiators even created a flag for Donnyland in green and gold tones and a national anthem with the help of ChatGPT.
More specifically, the negotiations discussed the "Monaco model" - a semi-autonomous microstate with the status of an offshore zone. The phrase "Monaco model" even appeared in draft treaties.
