European farmers have driven tractors into the center of Brussels in protest against a free trade agreement with South American countries.
A European Union summit is taking place in the Belgian capital, where the financing of Ukraine will be discussed. The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, stated that EU leaders will not leave the summit until they find money for Kyiv for the next two years. One of the options under consideration is the confiscation of Russian assets, which a number of countries, led by Belgium, have opposed.
The start of the discussion on this issue was delayed due to von der Leyen's meeting with representatives of protesting farmers, according to Politico. According to the publication, the delay has caused irritation among some European officials.

That's odd phrasing for a thing that hasn't happened yet, and doesn't seem likely. The reparations loan is actually already off the table for now, so it's not clear why she keeps talking about two options. Only the bond measure against the budget is a possibility - one that many EU countries will not endorse. Italy and Hungary and several others have already made this clear.
So what now?
More press conferences, we suppose. The EU continues to talk, Ukraine continues to crumble.
